    • .rb! Files

      Hi all,

Quick question, I'm helping my office roll over from Sketchup 8 to sketchup 2015. Several of the plugins we used now have exclamation points after the .rb file extension. Does this simply mean that these plugins are no longer compatible with sketchup 2015?

      Thanks!
      Jesse

    • RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools 2.6.1

That makes sense, I don't have the same need for control here. I just want everyone to have the same starting point, it can evolve beyond that later. This doesn't help me with a solution if someone already has a profile, ie. "log out". Can you offer any suggestions there? Would re-installing sketchup work or no? I'm hesitant to do a test run and re-install anyone's sketchup before knowing what my options are and what may or may not even have an impact.

So I'm rolling out a profile/bundle of plugins as a standard starting point for an office. I've created a Profile for the office that multiple people will be able to log into in order to get the "standard" package of plugins. If they already have a sketchucation plugin store profile is there no way to allow them to log in to the office profile? What if they re-install sketchup?

      Hi All,

dumb question maybe, how do I use the plugin store extension with a different profile/how do I change my profile? I want to log into a different account.

Bingo, thank you! I'll try to come up with something more difficult next time.

    • Plug-In Error Cleanup

      Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can give me a few pointers on an error I'm getting when I open sketchup regarding the Sketchucation plugins, see below:

Error Loading File C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/SketchUcation/sketchUcloud.rb
undefined method cloud?' for SCFapi:ModuleError Loading File C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google SketchUp 8/Plugins/SketchUcation/SCF_loader.rb undefined method cloud?' for SCFapi:ModuleError Loading File !SketchUcation_loader.rb
      undefined method `cloud?' for SCFapi:Module

I'm running Windows 7 and Sketchup 8. My office will be updating to the latest sketchup very soon, but for now, this is what I have to work with.

      Thanks for any help!

This is my current list of plugins that don't work in 2014. Obviously, the list is limited to what I've been using, so it's by no means comprehensive.

    • RE: Render this: LCD screen (light emitting material)

      Thanks Al,

I'm using the new Vray for Sketchup but I think I might be able to adapt some of your method to accomplish what I'm after.

    • RE: Render this: LCD screen (light emitting material)

quick question with the LCD screens. I'm working on a LCD TV and I wanted to know if there is a way to in/decrease the amount light the image (screen material) emits without affecting the actual image's appearance. What I'm getting right now is a decent light level being emitted but the image is getting washed out. Any ideas?

    • RE: 64-bit for VISTA version and optimization for Core2 Duo proc

I really wish Sketchup would produce a 64-bit version. Especially when it comes to using things like vray to render large scenes when the 32-bit RAM cap comes in to play at 1.5~2.0GB...

      Maybe if we ask nicely?
