Hi Vizier, I also really hate to send people away from these forums but when it comes to specific applications, best is to ask on their dedicated forums. Although you may happen to get answer here, too, if someone experienced with LightUp stumbles upon your topic, but you can definitely get answers over the LightUp Forums.

It's simple to do vizier if your mouse software allows it. Both Microsoft and Logitech have this feature, but not every model mouse seems to support it. You would generally set a Keystroke.

Im still having a lot of problems with light up. -Lightup changes the colors of a lot of my textures -Lightup seems to have problems rendering some of my components, some houses have transparent roofs, some entire buildings are missing. As soon as I turn off light up everything looks fine again. -I still cant make the points light work in my city. Do they have to be a part of the components them selves or can they just be free floating??

Remus has just posted a "multiple offset" plugin in the ruby forum. Give it a go; offset will be your friend here and that plugin can speed things up. If you right click any entity (say a group or component) and go to Entity info, you can change the layer there.

PS. As for leaving the items ungrouped definitely not. For large models I always have lots of groups and components where I can.

This is default style- [image: sGXH_style--testdefault.jpg] After saving(the saved model keeps the default style, but the model has changed the style) i get this [image: Lxs1_style--test.jpg] And i have to manually reselect the default style in order to work properly at the model.

Yes, the installation is very simple. If any scripts have any non-standard installation, they normally explain that in the first post of the plugin thread. The general idea is this. Single .rb files (like progressbar.rb), just get placed in the Sketchup\Plugins folder. If it is a .zip file that contains lots of files and folders, then the author normally has it zipped in such a way that you can just open the zip file, select everything and drag it right into your plugins folder and they script will be installed correctly. There are a couple of scripts that require you to install other scripts (some scripts are dependent on other scripts to work). In those cases, just install the other scripts just like I described above. On top of this, you need to be aware that not all scripts get placed in the "plugins" menu. They can be put in the right click context menu, "plugins", "draw", "tools", "file", etc. They can install themselves into any main menu in SketchUp. So sometimes you have to hunt around for them. If you have questions about specific scripts beyond these generaly questions, you can always ask in that plugin's thread. Hope that begins to help, Chris

@remus said: Once youve got all that isntalled you first need to check its turned on in the extensions index: windows->preferences->extensions, then check the box that says 'fredoscale.' You then need to turn the toolbar on, you do that by going view->toolbars than selecting 'fredoscale.' Then you can bend and twist away to your hearts deisre That did it! THanks a ton...tools are so nice. They really should have an install instuctions file with those things but oh well im using them fine now so I no longer care keke.

But if you are "replacing" them, it means that you already have them, doesn't it? Then why are you downloading them (again?) at all?

you want your textures to tile, you just want the tiles to be seam-less and non-repeating (no obvious elements that make a distinct pattern), tileable textures are your friend, especially with stone, block, and wood textures.
