Thanks mate, I'll take a look. I do have vertex tools but rarely have looked into learning it properly. I guess work gets in the way.
Nice work, Rich. Would love to see a video tut [you know, the ones that are shown x times speed] of one of these models just to see what goes into creating free form models...
Maximus kudos!
In Australia, mm for everything.

LOVE IT!!!
No worries ta. Just going back to an older job and updating the design has highlighted the issue. I'll see if I can work around it; if not I'll look to buy the full version [if bug free] even though I'd be only using it for conceptual modelling....
thanks for the explanation.!
Yes, I am aware that it is the free version.
So should it not be used?
Thanks Garry, I did that and still the project settings have not reset.
Hi Garry, just wondering if you can explain why this happens when i go to change a cabinet that I did in a drawing a few weeks ago?
Seems to change it back to another set of defaults!!
Nice composition in both images, mate. Like tadema said though lighting the scene with artificial lights in a daylight setting seems.... well; artificial. Obviously the interiors need a little lighting to balance out with the outside sunlight but exterior lighting in your soffits / garden lighting IMO is not needed.
Still, a nice presentation!
Sounds like it. I received the email in November last year....
I believe Buildingpoint Australia put it out.
See screenshoot from their FB page. Plusspec guys told me about it too so I expect they'll be presenting.
Should really support it!
How about the Oz Basecamp, Box? Surely you'll be able to attend that one in your own backyard? I've certainly started putting pennies away for it.

I am still on the fence about this Basecamp. Funding and timing are issues. I have a kid going to college in the fall.
Like Pete I got less out of the last one than previous. 2010 was the best in my opinion.
That makes me feel a bit better about missing the last few, Eric!
I have some great memories of the 2010 BC.... Sore head being one of them.
All the best, Baz!
As Box said; Richard might be your best bet on this forum; he's down that way [closer than me anyway]
If you're building on wheels.I assume you're towing it so it's only going to be 3.0m wide or there abouts to meet Main Roads requirements of vehicle size. Also there are heights to be aware of so I'd definitely do some initial investigation with Vic Roads....
Re: building codes/standard; AS 1684 Timber framing code and the NCC Volume 2 are building bibles in Australia however you're not really building a 'building'; you're building a caravan!!
Don't know much in the way of movable housing but I'd suggest there would need some number crunching done on movement, weight distribution, etc.
BTW, interesting article about a couple winning the right to keep their 'tiny house on wheels in their yard'...

Safe travels!
I beleive Fredo's animator plugin is the go.... I am going to have a play with it over the Xmas break to brush up on my walk-thru skills too.
Not sure if there is a good tutorial out there; maybe i'll dive in and have a go!!
Have sent my wishes on FB.... very lucky guy.
I'm sure you have the support of the entire SCF community, Kris. Hope you turn to us if you need a shoulder to lean on, mate.
Hi SJS, your plugins should work as they did in 2017...
Looks like it's time again.... I'm putting my list together over the weekend.
Feel free to get a jump on me.
@cwmunro - A bit of a workaround but you could isolate your internal walls in a separate scene and apply specific fills to that style. Same for the masonry walls in another scene...
Then overlay them both in LO.
Thanks Juju, haven't missed much I don't think.
Yep, was thinking of 32Gb a a min; always had GTX cards to I'll certainly research your suggestions...
Dual monitors; a must!! Converted to two 27" screens last time and would never go back....
The rest sounds pretty good starting point to grab a shopping basket and head to my local donk builder to discuss.
Hey Pete, you around the halls here? I'm keen to hear what you have to say.
