I got the same problem and just solved. Seems have to turn the color mode in Sketchup to align with the graphic card of the device. Solution: Go to System Preferences > Open GL> Capabilities Then change (try) the color mode. After changing to the correct one, the viewing color on sketchup screen will align with the color of the device system and hence the exported image. UN

I used to do Gouache renderings. I've just recently been doing more work with watercolors... That would be so fun to do that together!! I'll have to let you know. At this point the budget is tight...

@sorgesu said: I have to agree with Mike's comment about the surrounding trees. They are too bright a colour and contrasty and steel from the focus of the building. Yes, I agree... I should have made those darker. Thanks for reminding me of that, both of you @sorgesu said: I also agree about tree in front of the doorway. It does obscure. Being semi-transparent really doesn't change that and I have a personal problem with semi-transparent trees anyway. I know it is done in architecture, but I really don't think it is necessary and frankly, its a weird convention. If the tree is really going to obscure something important, use a skimpier tree. Otherwise, if it is just more brick, we get the idea and there is no reason to go transparent. In this one the tree actually obscures the doorway and 90 percent of the time the focuse of these renderings should be the doorway. Inviting one in so to speak. Therefore the greatest area of contrast should always be arranged to be at the door. This door is a little too dark and obscured. In fact the window to the left is more contrasty. I totally agree, in this case it was specified by the client that these trees were there and the he would not agree to a change in angle, so..... darn clients @sorgesu said: But that was just pushing an academic critique. The overall execution is masterful, the moode delightful the technque wonderful. Thank you Susan, you know how much I appreciate your input. It is always so valuable! And thank you to everyone else as well!!

I hope you don't mind but I used your Pool Scene and came up with the attached. Thought I'd send the results to you. BTW, I only did a quick 30 sec job. I'm sure there are far better results to be had on the trans end of thing with some more time spent. Mike! What a fun little program that is.... My husband noticed that there should have been ripples around the waterfall also.... [image: bo2F_pool-play-SQ.jpg] Thank you to everyone else for the comments I'm going to do some other versions... daylight with a more "playful" atmosphere. I will post when I get it done.

@unknownuser said: Craig....your lucky number is also a "Palindrome". Interesting math....try this one in the google search box....... 111111111*111111111 Very interesting!! I hadn't thought of that! @unknownuser said: edit: Your number could also suggest that you can ride your bike backwards just as fast as you can forwards....?? Only when I crash going really fast, and the bike passes me backwards and upside down! ...it's happened! @solo said: Interesting Craig, has it worke? the wealth thing that is? Well...I won my first roadrace (in the rain too!). I was the winningest Novice racer in the 125GP class. I advanced to Amateur class in the minimum amount of time and races. I won my first Amateur roadrace. And with a fast lap time of 1 minute 20 seconds flat, I beat all the experts lap times in my garage! (..until the 15 year old wonder, Shane Narbone came in and beat all of us at least!) So, I guess you can say that I have had good fortune running 818! ...but as you can also see from my very worn looking leathers AND the difference in bodywork between the posted image and my avatar, I've also come off the bike quite a bit! That's racin! Cheers, - CraigD P.S. My avatar picture is a shot of me leading and about to win the very first Amateur roadrace I entered! Exit of turn 4 at Loudon, NH.

Tinnane, I saw Your thread Yesterday. The reason I didnt reply then it is because I couldn t explain it so much in words but in a form of a similar presentations that I make. Although Your presentation is a great start I have a couple of suggestions and tips. Most of your Animation is apart from one or two sequences is actually a slide show. Slides, graphics, transitions, and proper design presentations can be dynamic and interesting even without or with very small amounts of animated sequences. By the way I have visited Your web site on several occasions and I really like Your work and I think it would benefit even more if You take this approach . Here is a link to my thread. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3022&hilit=

The colors were all chosen by the designer. I didn't have a say in it The company logo does fill up the wall quite a bit, tho. Thanks James!
