Purge is grayed out so it doesn't appear they are duplicates.
When I import the data into Unreal I see now that datasmith breaks out the materials into materials & textures. The textures have the original SU material names and the UE materials are numbered mat001, mat002 and so on.

Okay, I had to go to the Windows Apps to remove it.
Here's what I discovered.
I believe that any material in the model that I've previously exported using datasmith is renamed.
With the plugin disabled, the list of materials in the model still have all the numbered names (mat001, mat002, etc).
When I select any material in the Material Palette that isn't in the model (and hasn't been datasmith exported) it's original name remains in place.
When I select a material from the palette that IS in the model it has the matxxx naming.
I guess it's something datasmith has to do for import purposes.

I've been looking for a way to disable datasmith but I don't see it in the Extension Manager.

No, I'm not using a rendering extension. But I'm exporting using datasmith into Unreal Engine.

Hadn't noticed it before but recently Materials are being renamed from their originals to mat001, mat002, etc. For example the material thumbnail was originally named Sketchy Brick Herringbone. Now it's mat015. Perhaps a plugin?

Thanks Fredo for the fantastic plugins. I use 'Divide faces' often and of course Joint Push Pull. Just wondering, is there a way for Push Pull Interactive to inherit layers from the faces they are affecting as the Classic version did?

Crashes SU18 and 19 as soon as I install. I manually deleted it from my Plugins folder and all is well again.

Does anyone know of a plugin that will rough up edges and make them more organic?

I'm sure Joint Push Pull v4.4b has generated multiple groups at once for me. I just can't recall what choice of options do this. Anyone know? Think I chose the face by face option ... but can't seem to replicate the multiple group results.

OK. Just realized that multiple groups are generated when the faces I'm push/pulling are not connected.

It's a fantastic plugin. Can it be made to inherit the layers it's push/pulling from like the classic version?

Is there a tool or method that will allow a selection of components to acquire the axis of another component all at once?

Tried installing this plugin into SU 2015, 2016 but don't see it in the Edit or context menu. I'm guessing it's not compatible then with these versions? Say it isn't so. This one was a real time-saver in the past for me.

My bad. What I meant by 27K & 38K was 27,000 KB & 38,000 KB respectively. (Or to be precise, 27,957 KB then 38,460 KB after purging and resaving).

Originally yes ... but I've been working on that file in SU 2016 for a couple months now. So, to clarify, the 27k file has been opened and saved from SU 2016 for a while now.

I have a file that is 27k. I open it, use the purge feature in Model info/statistics just to be certain my model is optimized. However when I re-save it, the resulting file is 38k. Any ideas on what could be happening?

OK. I updated my profile. I'm using SU Make 2015.

For example I have a SU file named 'Complex component from full model - relayered.skp' and is listed as so in Windows Explorer. In the SU Component dialog box it lists that file simply as 'Complex'. What could be a reason for not showing me the correct and full name of the file?

Working with components, I've encountered a mystery I cannot solve. From the Component dialog box when selecting" Open or create a local collection" and then navigating to the folder I want to import a component from .... there are files whose names do not jive with the saved file name. It seems to have inherited some previous name I'd used. I cannot find any way of shedding this old name from the Components dialog box. Have others experienced this? What is the solution? Thanks in advance.

Trying out CameraKeyMaker on a winXP. Doesn't behave like the video tutorial. (BTW, is there supposed to be audio with that video?)
Although Alt-Q does add a key frame, I cannot use the orbit tool to reposition the camera. The CameraKeyMaker feedback onscreen disappears & as far as I can tell the script ends.
What is available is a dotted sphere to mark position. I clicked on that & circled a cube. Hitting enter did send the key frames to scenes. But the scenes created this way do not orbit the cube.
Is there a new version available yet? (The version I am trying out does not iclude the 1.0 designation anywhere in its name or files).

If I could get it to work it would be a great feature.
