I have reinstalled "progress bar" shut down SU opened it and no change. I guess one question I am asking is: Should the "progress bar" appear in the SU plugins drop menu? at least if I know that I can start narrowing it down.
Thanks

Hi I have attached the ruby script text image. I am trying to activate the straigt line on the red axis but I can do this till the cows come home to no avail.
I assume it is normal for the ruby script to scroll like crazy when I use the mouse.
I reiterate that I have not seen the "progress bar" plugin however it does exist in my SU plugin folder. But does not show in my plugin dropdown when i am in SU.
Thanks Guys

Hi All I installed "shape bender" and the associated "progress bar" plugin. Both of these were put into the SU plugin folder. No problem, found the Shape blender toolbar and it is now an addition to my normal toolbar. I have read a number of tutorials, so i make the item (and group it) i wish to bend, then it says select the item i wish to bend, it deselects the group and says to select the line on the red axis, but it will not select the line i click on, and I cannot progress any further. I have checked the progress bar is in my plugins folder but does not show in my SU plugins drop down, should it?
I have attached a screen shot with the line i attempt to activate bettween the object and the curve .
Please note command line.
Sorry to be so long winded
Cheers
I am wondering why sketchup does not have its own internal render engine instead of having to import or buy one?
Hi Mate, yes it is good for a first time. Just a few things that may help:
Attention to detail the insets in the doors are about 3 times the depth of what they would be on the real ( the irony of "real" is not lost on me) Tardis
The other thing is the type on the Tardis is 3d this can be done better by projecting text onto the surface or easier do the type, in say, Paint, match background colour crop, and simply import it. file/import.......
I am asuming you are an Aussie by the St Johns logo, like the man said future addict here
Good luck!!
Hi I find it weird that the sketchup materials library apart from version 6 has said "comming soon" for the past 5 years! Why dont they simply sat it will never come?
I remember I found an exellent source of images (thousands) but just did a search and cannot find it. Does anyone know a good source for material jpegs?
Thank you
Hi I have attached an image where I want to align the direction of laminated plywood on a radiused surface. I can go into texture/scale/rotate for a flat surface to achieve this. I would like to align the ply so it is seemless (or as close as I can get)Can anyone assist?
I am thinking also in this drawing, I have the model not aligned on a default axis (note the horizon) How can I realign it to the default/ standard alignment?
Thanks
Hi I have an extruded piece ( Like 5 ply with lots of holes cut in it like swiss cheese)I wish to stack them but it is really cranking my computer. Is there a way to make it more managable ( similar to collapsing the stack in Max)Does making it a component or group help this?
Thanks guys
Dedmin, thank you! thank you! mate, do you mind if I ask how you did that. You actually went back till about 5 mins before the issue occurred!
Genius
Thanks again

HI Geaius, tried Shift +z no good and the rest of the suggestions to no avail. A DWG was not involved in this project.
I have attached the su file to see if someone can "unlock it" any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Tried zoom extents the zoom extents button will not activate IE: when i hit any other button it highlights, but not the zoom extent button. It highlights momentarily when i click on it but....nothing. In desperate need of help, must deliver project Tomorrow
Thanks In advance

Nice work dedmin!! Can I suggest the addition of fasteners or countersunk screw heads where the exist that would really finish off a good model.
You need to go out side and do a real building, nearby. try and try again until your sketchup model looks like the real building. Study and deconstruct the chosen building and look at its components, rafters guttering door jams, doors, doorhandles, windows and window sills etc It may assist you to do somthing less nieve. You need to follow the same building logic the builder did that way you may present somthing with integrity. You need to pay attention to scale and proportion. Good luck!!
