RE: INDIGO STUDY INDOOR SCENE
Nice stuff here, guys!
Kwisten, top class renders, I try it myself, but your renders are just perfect! -
RE: White Specs
You're welcome, I learned allot from the forum, and it's nice to "give back", when you know the answer of a problem.

RE: White Specs
Those are pixels with value bigger then 255. Go to "color mapping" and check "clamp output" and "sub-pixel". I read allot about this problem on the asgvis forum.

Appliances-WIP
Hello everyone!
I decided to make my own set of appliances since I was never satisfied by the ones I found, so I need your opinion, if I need to push the details even more.
This it's first model, but I will make a fridge, vent, sink etc. -
RE: Some Interior Rendered Vray Sketchup
Nice Nomer! I really love the photometric lights in max...but for me IES lights means only one thing, and that is 'Lithonia Lights'. This is what you used? If not, search on the internet, it's free, it's a plug-in, and it has his own viewer.

RE: Vray rendering (studio settings)
You are right Gai, could you please move it to the gallery? I was thinking that it was more like a vray work, so that's why I post it in this section...sorry.

Vray rendering (studio settings)
My last experiment with the new vray....I used the 'high quality studio visopt that came with vray, and I just added HDRI for background and skylight. The model it's not mine, it is a 3ds model from archibase.com.

RE: Updated Bacelona chair
Nothing special?? Your rendering become special, just because you used this amassing piece of art!
I love this chair! Check the metal frame, try to get smoother surface. There are not enough sides in that arc. But the rendering look just great. Did you used a special setup for product rendering (like studio rendering)?
Regards,
StefanEDIT : I see the sharp shadows, so I guess it's not a studio setup. It would be nice to try HDRI for lightning.

RE: DVD Player
I think you should use HDRI in the GI(Skylight) too, for illuminate the scene. Here one of my exemple

RE: Control HDRI background in Vray render for Sketchup
I like HDRI's, I work with them as much as I can, but I always had to make some tricks, to get a decent result. My biggest problem was the fact that, I can't get the shadows of my models on the background( like Hypershoot does very well), so I had to make some geometry to put my models on top, to get what I want. So, keep in mind, always put something under your models, and put it on the higher ground, because you will never get the perfect match with the hdri. Here one of my example:

RE: My Hypershot tests
Nomer, your experiment looks good to me, I have an idea. You could use a HDRI map for environment, to get just a little bit more light, then hide the environment, and put a backplate( a nice image of a night shot).I think it will be great for a night shot scene!

RE: For VRay buffs: a mammoth guide just released in English
Thanks for the info Edson! I think I like to see it on my desk!

RE: Office building
I have core2 quad, and I have 4 buckets. As far as I know, v-ray assign 1 bucket per processor(core). I have home one hyper-threaded P4, and I have 2 buckets! Maybe someone more experienced could bring some light in this problem.
