    • Another simple kitchen

Hi again! This it's my work for today...and obviously, I didn't have the time for tweaking. Just the basic shape of the furniture, and some materials. I used vray for rendering, with the rendering time @ 30 minutes per image.

      Outstanding result, Radu!
Sincer vorbind, ma furnica pe spinare, dat fiind faptul ca am facut liceul la cfr, si in perioada de practica, mi-am petrecut timpul stergand motorina prin panaramele astea de LDE-uri. Esti meserias...bravos!

The newbie became the master...congrats once again!
EDIT:Teo, what version of vray are you using, and how was the rendering time?
Could you please, show us the raw output as well?

    • RE: Vray reflection mapping

OK, I did another test...just to be sure it's still working ๐Ÿ˜†
I have a diffuse layer with the color, and another one ( ghost layer) witch it's transparent, for helping vray to set the correct UV for the specular map.

Stinkie, yes, it's odd, but it's working.Check the link above.

EDIT: the post it's about HDRI, but on page 2, almost at the bottom, I have some images about specular maps.

    • RE: Vray reflection mapping

Ibon, I have an old post on asgvis, about specular maps, but for some reason, I can't access the site. But,I can tell you where I put specular maps, and it's fine. First , make a reflection layer for your material, then, go to reflection/M/(here you have fresnel)/put your map in the "fresnel color"
I recommend you to use just reflections and specular without bump, to see if it's working. If it's OK, then you can use bump too!
      Good Luck!

Well done Pete! I call that "biebel's technique". I mean, cleaning the bump map, with clear separations between white and black.

Thanks for comment guys! I'll try to put more detail next time.
Adam, the chairs and the table are 3ds models, from here : http://www.archibase.net/
You have to register, and then you can browse for free models. As you can see, I have some missing geometry over the corners of the chairs. I shared the stove as well here:

    • Kitchen- v-ray rendering

This it's my last project, v-ray rendering. I used HDRI for background and GI(Skylight).
I'm happy with the result, of course it's not perfect.
      Regards,
      Stefan
