What I referred to as an 'upstand' [in that it upstands from the 'wing'] is your 'block'. If it's a simple block it should make a simple cut/outline when intersected. Without more detail, or part of your model etc, you are asking us to help you without helping us to do so !

I think you are pushing SU farther away than what it's made for. SU is unbeatable for buildings, but leave it alone for other projects. Those things are better built in some other app, such as Blender. I've also done something in Poser (but that's not free, even if it is quite cheap). I've begin to implement a check for TT_Lib2 in my plugins, so when it's not there a message will appear explaining it's needed and a direct link to download. New releases and updates will feature this.
