RE: Sketch style
Glad you like the thread James and hopefully we can get the look of the first picture.
One thing i think i need to change is the cars in the scene, this sounds strange to say but they are probably to detailed. If you look at the first picture the cars they use are very basic and boxy, does anybody have any really basic looking cars.

RE: Sketch style
Hi,
Thanks for the suggested style majid, this is an attempt using your style. I think its an improvement in terms of the pen style but to me looking at the original image the pen style needs to be a little thicker.

RE: Sketch style
Hi, Tomsdesk & majid,
Thanks for your interest in this style, i think with this style the hardest aspect to get right will be the line style. I have attached a couple of examples i have been working on which dont look to badbut not quite there.

Keep your eyes peeled to this discussion - I'm working right now on a paired SketchUp / Layout template (whenever I get a spare minute) that I plan to post. This would have sections, styles, layers, etc all set up beforehand - simply build your model on the template and CDs would be easy to export.
As for dimensions, I put my dimensions on a separate layer within my SU model and then link them in layout as an overlay.
Template should be up by appx. May 1.

IΒ΄m waiting too for this promising template!
Any news?Sounds good this really looking forward to seeing it and giving it a go

There was something wrong with the way the textures were applied or something. I re-applied all the textures and it works...
