Hi All,
Have tried to disable everything except Eclate Deplace and it STILL crashes? Anyone got any thoughts. Im stumped and seeing as I use this plugin almost daily am pulling my hair out.
Any help greatly appreciated as always....
Not sure what other plugins need to run with Eclate Deplace so not sure if there is anythign that has to be on to allow it to work.

Can't get this to work at all for some reason, just crashes every time I try to use it.

Anyone getting bugsplats with this plugin? Love it and find it very useful but for some reason it is buggin out constantly on me - doesn't work at all! Can anyone help.....?
Version numbers below... even tried downloading the current french version but no joy. Tried copying some parts out of my model into a fresh model and still got the bugsplat!

Just tried turning off hardware acceleration and the problem is gone? Will us this setup for a little while and hope for the best.

Can anyone help me to resolve an issue Im having. SU crashes every time I try to update a scene and its driving me spare! I cant add a camera to a scene without SU crashing. I have an ATI FirePro V4800 card and have just updated the driver as instructed on the 'known issue' page but no joy!
Any help - pleeeeese. Its nearly 10pm and I have spent hours trying to get one model out of the 4 I have to complete today to work

Hi AndrewS - I have scan read your post but will come back to read in more detail later. Thanks for the explanation tho - much appreciated. I have now been sent a link to the .msi for version 13.0.4xxx and have installed with no issues.
I put this issue to the sketchup help page (sketchup pro support) and received an email within 24 hours so very pleased with that! Quote and link to file below if anyone needs it....

Regarding the .exe file thinking you are on Windows XP, following the steps below should resolve that problem:

1. Right-click the SketchUp installer icon
2. Choose Properties
3. Choose the Compatibility tab
4. Click the box for "Run in ... compatibility mode"
5. Choose Windows 7 from the drop-down list

Yes - have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and no dice! Really struggling and getting crashes all over the place.
Was able to find the .msi for the 13.0.3 upgrade but not the 13.0.4...
Figure it should be an easy fix ......

Im having lots of problems trying to install Sketchup 2013 Version 13.0.4xxx
I have downloaded the MSI file but am getting an error message every time I try to install. I believe this is a problem that others are having but haven't seen a solution as yet.
I was only able to install the SU 2013 v 13.0.3xxx from the MSI file (the .exe thinks Im not running windows 7 which I definitely am). There doesn't appear to be a .msi file for the 13.0.4 version? Can this be made available as SU is crashing every 10 mins and is impossible to work with.

Please take a look at this post from one of IT support guys with more tech detail on it. No one has come back to him with a solution and the MIS file suggested is still for version 13.0.3xxx .....!

Am thinking about downgrading to SU 8 as SU 13 is pretty much useless at the moment - not what I paid for!

Updated driver and it had no effect on one (very old and messy) file but another one Im working on now seems to be ok. Will test tomorrow with more time....

Turned hardware acceleration off and it seems a little better. Mitcorb - I'll read the page you sent shortly to see if there is anything else I can try. Thanks for your help and speedy response.

Have added a file with my complete machine spec...
My colleague has the same machine and the same problems but another colleague with a laptop is running with no issues?

Installed SU 2013 yesterday and am finding it pretty laggy compared to the previous version. On exiting groups, orbiting and zooming too there is a fairly long pause while SU thinks about it. Frustrating!
Anyone finding this?

Yes - definitely. Suggested this a while ago as its a feature of a couple of other CAD drafting packages and is certainly very useful...

Thanks TECHDAVE02, I don't think layout can do what I want it to. I put different elements on different layers in LO. Views on a View layer, Notes on a note layer etc. When I group a view and a note together the group then moves to whatever the current layer is which means that the individual layers no longer turn things off within the group.
Thanks anyway....

And DaveR - i hope they change it in the next version. Would make life easier in a lot of circumstances. Easier navigation and organisation which speeds things up!

Does anyone know if there is there EVERRRRR going to be a new release of SU or LO. Been on the same edition for what feels like an eternity and am still struggling with the same issues and hoping for the same wish list items to be resolved. Is there anything in the pipeline? Heard a rumor about a 2013 release but only a rumor.
I started (as many others did) a wishlist and just went to remind myself when I started it. May 2011!!!! and no news of anything since from anyone at SU. LO is desperately in need of some TLC in my opinion. Really hope there is going to be a new all singing all dancing shiny release VERY soon as its still seriously lacking when compared to other Professional CAD drafting packages. I love SU but LO ...... not so much!

Is there any way to get group items in LO but get the items within the group to respect their original layers. Have only just tried grouping (I ususally just use layers) but it seems that in Layout you can only do one or the other. If you group items that are on separate layers they all move to the current layer? Would be good if you could group something and still be able to turn layers of within the group!
