      New Update: Composition Guides v0.0.7 Available at: Gumroad SketchUcation PluginStore SketchUp Extension Warehouse If you already installed v0.0.6 then you can update to v0.0.7 from SketchUp: You can follow the steps below regardless of where you downloaded the extension. However, the SketchUp Extension Warehouse and SketchUcation PluginStore have their own way to update the extension. I suggest updating the extension with the steps below if you downloaded the extension from my Gumroad store. Go to Extensions > i3D > Compositions Guides > Check for Update If there is an Update available a Notification will pop-up Follow the Installation Instructions. What is New: Scene Buttons now have tooltips [image: 380c29128eb1847c37a37e9d62358e05f3c6cb19.gif] The Plus button now adds a new scene with a user-specified name.       For ideas of where to take this tool I would look at Blender's Loop Tools. Having this in SketchUp with support for QFT would be a good toolset.

      When you iterate a collection - like pages, or selection or entities, and change that collection's contents - e.g. by deleting something - then you get issues because the collection changes as a result. BUT if you 'freeze' the collection, but using .to_a OR perhaps you collect items, which are then deleted afterwards, after you exit using the collection... then it avoids the issue.

      You can collect all the separate loop-segments from the selection and then treat them separately. If you made the assumption that the user only selected one edge in each of the loops he/she wants selected then it's easier - as you just need to iterate each edge in selection and build a loop for each one. But it could be that the user selected multiple segments of a loop, in which you would have to detect this as well. Or, thinking of it, you could just ignore the fact that some are connected, just build the loop anyway and make sure you don't process an edge that's already in a generated loop.

I'm in the progress of writing a new set of core classes that will return quad faces from a set of SketchUp entities. I'll make this as generic and small as possible (and fast) so ti can be easily implemented in extensions that want to support quads. I'd love to see more quad-based tools. QuadFace Tools grew to a decent size, but there is's just the basics. There is much more that would be great to have.
