      This luxurious piano sure is in a poor neighborhood! One of this days when I become rich the first thing I will do is buy a fancy piano πŸ˜„...Hmmm maybe that is whats going on in this picture, the poor guy bought a piano before anything else!

      Good job cleaning up the geometry and texturing it for Twilight!

      Seeing everyone is comments is really encouraging so thank you all.

      iichiversii is right and if you have not seen 'Indie Game the Movie' I hope you take the time and go to watch it. I know people don't like it when others try to sell them things without them asking for it but I am just recommending πŸ’š...

      If you want there is a bundle sell of 6 games & documentary were you set the prize you want to buy it with controls over what money goes to developers, charity that helps children in need to have games this Christmas to play with and more.

      Here is the link; http://www.humblebundle.com/#popup-indiegamethemovie

      Also Steam is giving great deal for the movie and games as well; http://store.steampowered.com/

      Again thanks for the comments!

      Hi,

      I guess its is safe to say I am little bit more than half way for competing this level and the next step after that is to animate it.

      it reminds me of the classic mario games, the gradients and layers....you can't go wrong! πŸ‘

      Mario was a great deal of inspiration for the people that made this game...Thanks for the encouragement!

      iichiversii - I get really inspired by watching your work and I mean it! Not many people is using sketchup for character animation but I am hoping that changes soon. I am practicing so that maybe in the future I can make some tutorials.

      There are some nice tips you are giving me and I'll be sure to study them. For now I am exploring on using SimFonIA Animation Tools and I have found that I can switch objects when needed by using the key-frame editor.

      Here is what I have done so far;

    • [WIP] [Fan Animation] Super Meat Boy

      Hi,

      This is going to be a fan animation based on 'Super Meat Boy' by Edmund McMillen & Tommy Refenes. Everything is modeled in SketchUp and no images are used except for a png shadow gradient, this means that no matter how close you get it wont lose resolution. For character & environment animations I am planning to use SinFonIA ANimation Tools.

      This was taken from the game.

      This is a SketchUp scene to make it look like the original game.

      This was produced with SketchUp.

      I will post another environment I am finishing that has saws and stuff like that very soon.

      Cheers!

    • Anyone here likes to make music?

      Hi,

      A couple of years ago I went to Barcelona to study some architecture curses in IAAC for three months and while their I bought a 25 keys 'Korg micro X synthesizer / controller'.

      Before that I was involved in music by playing around in high-school is music class and because I loved that so much I asked my parents to put me on a piano class. The problem there is I was not getting motivated because it was getting to technical, were learning to read music was the main priority and I learned to read a little but then dropped out.

      Later with my 25 key piano I knew from the start I was not going to read music and that playing what I felt was my focus. I know that I am still a beginner and that my music still needs to improve but just wanted to share a couple of my early compositions and sound experiments.

      Here is my YouTube playlist;

      Anyone here also like to make music for hobby or profession?

    • Why did Google sell Sketchup?

      Hi,

      Why did Google sell SketchUp to Trimble?

      I guess Trimble has more experience in architecture & engineering development which is good because most of my work relates to that field. But!!!!... I hope Trimble is vision for SketchUp is much broader than that because, I also see this tool being useful for entertainment industry like animation & game development.

      My wish is that the Trimble team will expand the API so that ordinary people like me will make their own tools.

      Thanks

    • RE: How to modify texture color with code?

      If I understood correctly it can't display the color changes while in texture mode. I hope one day the API will support such a task. Oh well I guess I need to use another method to achieve what I wanted which was to change the color of texturized clouds depending on the sun or moon is position.

      Thank you both

    • RE: Time lapse - image recorder

      Recommend you try 'Fraps', it allows you to modify the 'fps'. Also if you like making camera & objects animations easier I recommend you take a look at 'SimFonIA Animation Tools' because you can easily achieve more organic movements and it has a video exporter were you can also set the 'fps'.

      @trogluddite said:

      I wonder if that could be useful too for your sky system - allowing a folder of styles with indexed names to be installed alongside your plugin, so that all the necessary visual settings are automatically available. AFAIK, this is something that can't be done with scenes, as they are specific to a particular model.

      Hi,

      This defenetly sound like a very usefull feature!

      Not sure if having multiple styles preloaded on to pages is less eficiant in maneging memmory & cpu than loading styles from external file. I say this because there is a point when you are creating animations were lag start to become an issue and if your proposed way of loading styles is better then I am all for it.

      Another thing that I will like to know is if loading styles the way you propose can have a transition time of 5 sec for example to blend from one to another like you do with pages?

      Cheers
