i dont tihnk i've ever seen one of those snake toys before, kinda want to mess around with one for a while now

its very nice, not quite sure how they plan on seeling any with the SSD drives though, Β£500 for a smaller drive? i think not.
well heres another one, complete rip off of yours biebel (gotta start being more imaginative!)
plus a slight variation on the first one.

first time i've tried rendering something, just tohught it might be good to get an idea of how it works.
did it with podium and ps.
comments/critiques gladly accepted

control points, i was thinking a tool where you'd be able to select some geometry and apply a sandbox mesh over it, so it replaced the face with a mesh. This would make modelling more organic shapes a lot easier, as youd just be able to make a mesh form anything you could make normally.
this is kind of like a cross between the skin.rb and soapskin.rb, its quite hard to explain, so i'll just post a pic:
edit: just started using the 'from contours' tool, now im a happy man

only if you can teach me how to use SU as well as you do
hahaha, i spent 5 mins just trying to work out what that picture was! a true master of disguise.
thats some pretty nice stuff, the chandalier looks very surreal, i wonder if oyu could make it work for real
EDIT: just sw the picture you based the chandilier on
yay! back to messing around with soap skin once more
i quite like it, it looks a bit more vibrant than before.
as a child, i think i do a reasonable amount of work, altohugh i'm not likely to label myself a slacker!
To be honest i think it's actually very detrimental to not be doing these things by the time your 10 or so, i think you become far too dependant if you don't do anything for yourself and oyu get into bad habits, like leaving everything everywhere, because you're always expecting someone else to come and do everything for you.
i tihnk im right in thinking that you cna just use the paint bucket tool to paint lines as you would faces. bit more deail: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=609
a pretty sweet machine by all accounts! why dont you try running crysis and SU at the same time to really push the graphics card
something like this: http://www.smustard.com/script/ToDoList ?
i havent used it myself so i'm not sure what it's like to work with...
i cant wait to see this when it's rendered, it looks sweet already!
very nice, its a pity you can't upload a higher quality image, as i think this would look a lot better like that.
onto the pic: i like it a lot, very simple and effective.
jsut had a really quick go with it, and i see what you mean about modelling accurately. seems to be better for doing ideas and quick stuff rather than proper accurate models to turn into plans. good program none the less.
jsut had a quick browse of that website lan, look like a really cool progam, good for doing the stuff it's hard to do in SU, and free for beta useers as well!
did a quick tut to help you get the general idea. It's my first one so don't be too cruel!
oh and you'll need the soap skin ruby for it.
