    • RE: Lock toolbars positions - is it possible?

I am using Windows XP-SP2. Yes, the toolbars are in the correct position when I launch SU. The other application will be either AutoCAD or an image file using the Windows Picture and Fax viewer. There are no desktop enhancers.

Thank you remus for the quick reply. Surprising that it is not happening to others. It happens on my home computer also.

    • Lock toolbars positions - is it possible?

      Hello everybody!

This happens quite often. When I have another application or another window and when I switch between Sketchup and the other window all toolbar positions are dislocated. This is such a big nuisance and I am wasting time re-positioning the toolbars so often. I cannot see any tool to lock the toolbars. Or is there is a way of saving the position of toolbars?

      Thanks in advance

    • RE: Sketchup 7 Update - is the UV map bug fixed?

Sorry for the short description. The problem with the first SU7 was:

If you picked a texture and applied it to an object, then edited/ re-positioned/re-oriented the texture for that object, and then if you kept on applying the same texture to other objects/faces, sometimes the modified "UV mapping" is forgotten by SU and reverts back to the original texture. I came across this once, and since this problem was also discussed by someone else also in the forums, I just gave up SU7 and reverted back to SU6. I would like to switch to SU7 once for all. Hence I am asking this question. I have downloaded this maintenance update. I have used it a few times and I am quite happy with it. I am just curious to know if this bug (which seems to have existed) is fixed.

      Thanks in advance

    • Sketchup 7 Update - is the UV map bug fixed?

      Hello everybody!

The first SketchUP 7 had some bugs when textured materials were applied. The UV mapping was not constant or something like that. Is the bug fixed in the updated version OF SketchUP 7?

Very good point. It becomes very difficult, say, to do a fleeting sky in a paint program with a tablet if the cursor lags behind and you are not able to watch as you paint.

I was away from my city for quite a while and could not see the forum posts. Hence my delay in replying.

I perfectly agree with kwistenbiebel. SketchUP is so popular because you can use the free version for commercial use also. If one continually uses it for professional purposes his conscience makes him buy it!

I also agree that ProjeCAD is only a trial version without expiry! Other than that I can't figure out any non-commercial and personal use!

    • RE: ProgeCAD Smart - Autocad alternative

ProgeCAD Smart says that it is only for non-commercial personal use. What is the definition of "personal use" ? Is it to use it to draw out ones own house? Or to use it for playing on CAD? Or is it for learning purposes only? In what way a person will find "personal use" for a CAD software? I am really curious to know about this.

      Thanks in advance

Thank you for your reply Oscar. Yes the default face-me component Sang was there.
Once I removed him, it works now. But it takes two to three times more time to do
the operation than the previous first ruby script. But it is now working.

      Thanks once again

      Hello

To me the OSCoolean Beta(18-12-2008)is not working at all. It does nothing.
In the ruby console I get the error message which i have attached.
The previous ruby was working. Any clue?

      Thanks in advance

      OOPS!! Sorry for the post!

I found out myself that you have to select the entire box.
It is already mentioned about this in another long thread.
I saw it just now. Sorry for the trouble.

    • Sketchybevel not working - help requested

      Hello everybody

Sketchybevel.rb is not working for me. When I select a face and apply bevel it creates holes on the edges instead of bevelling. I have also set the parameters as "True" in cap holes.

If I select the entire box it is working. This much happens with the old ruby.

With the latest ruby of Sketchybevel.rb when I select a face and apply the bevel nothing happens. But if I select the entire box it works.

This was not the case with the very first ruby script of Sketchybevel - which I do not have now. Things were working fine then.

How do I make the present ruby work.

      Thanks in advance

PS: I posted this same question in Pushpullbar forum also since I was
unable to get access to this Sketchucation website for the last two
days for some reason. Hope this is alright (posting the same in two
      different forums).
