I'm actually using the plugin to visualize one single folder (with all its subfolders obviously) and I have about 60 models to report, not so much. I still haven't mapped the cases in which I encounter the issue, but I will in the next days! I'll let you know immediately!

I have a small issue though: sometimes the "loading you rlibrary" phase doesn't stop, so basically I can't use the plugin. If I restart the pc, everything works fine.

Another question for the pros: in the attached component I set an onclick function on the two coloured faces: when you click on a face it is set to HIDDEN. That works perfectly, but when I copy that same component the onclick action operates on the original component, and I don't understand why...

Can you please point me to the solution?

I unfortunately have been derailed to other urgent matters, so I'm now back with another question on materials. I almost got the panel work the way I'd like it to work.

Basically, I set fixed values for length and height for the user to change from a list, and this is perfect. Now, the two faces may be painted with whatever colour we want, so I thought to make two different inner components with inner faces painted with defaul material. This way, if I get INTO the main component and apply whatever material to my 2 faces (even separately) I get the applied material name being showed up in the "Material" attribute.

I have now two attributes related to the applied material name (CODICE, and FIN_PARETE), and it's crucial for me to have these two attributes updated after I apply a new material. At the moment, I get the material attribute to be updated, but I need to manually change the dimension of the panel to have the linked attributes updated.

Is there a way to automatically update the related attributes?

Hi again! And sorry to bother.. I'm here with a little more complex topic, I'm going to explain..

I'm building a new DC which is a wooden panel, which can be coloured with any color on both front and back face. Colours on the two faces may be the same or differ.

I'm looking for a way to colour separately the two faces, and also to have an attribute reporting the name of the materials used. The aim here is to get a report which can tell me how many square meters I'm using of whatever material I applied.....

Is there a way to do this? or any kind of workaround?

...however, in the model you uploaded the stretching along the X axis is locked to the value you select from the list. Instead, I'd like to be able to stretch the component locking some known measures (see the embedded NEAREST function), and ALSO have the possibility to choose a lenght from a list.

In both cases, I get a defined length; in the end, I'd like to link that known lengths to codes (possibly with the CHOOSE/OPTIONINDEX functions which I find to be more direct or with an IF function, if needed)

Ok guys another question: I'm trying to use the optionindex parameter but it returns -1.

I'm trying to assign a specific itemcode given the length of the bar, which I can choose among a list. So I thought to unite CHOOSE and OPTIONINDEX to make it work, but OPTIONINDEX returns "-1" for LenX, and I can't figure out why.

Hi guys, I'm sorry to bother but i recently started fiddling around with DC and I really find very difficult to learn, the documentation is in my opinion very poor, and it's odd for the potentiality this tool hase...

I'm sad to bother but I have to ask you some very basic questions about them..

First thing would be...the NEAREST function.

I have followed the very simple self-paced tutorial found on the warehouse, but the function doesn't work at all, even if I replicate exactly the tutorial. I don't know why but when I scale along the X axis my cubicle the results are unpredictable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. It's starting to be very frustrating... Can anybody please point me what I am doing wrong?

My aim here is to force the scaling on the X axis to given lengths (what i understand is that the NEAREST function returns the closest valued between the ones specified in the formula)

The firm I'm working for is looking a way to speed up the process of modeling: the work is about fair trading, so they basically have a base component for walls (say 100x300cm, th.4cm) which they spread around for whole pavilions. The base panel has tons of options but I'm trying to set dynamic components. Now I am looking for a plugin which could place the base components one close to each other (therefore every 100cm), and automatically place a "pillar" component (4x4x300cm) where I have the corners.

A great thing would also be the option to enter the length of the line (say "800") and to obtain an array of 8 elements with automatic placing of the pillar at the start+end of the measure, then specify another direction, enter a second value (say 400) and have a pillar placed at the end, and so on....

Sorry for not posting images, I don't know how to explain this!!!!!

PS. I am sure to have seen a "click-rotate" plugin somewhere (a plugin which can rotate a component along his blue axis with a click) here but seems like I can't find it anymore. Any of you guys recall it too? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have another curiosity: I don't know if it is possible with the current tools to arrange a row of pre-selected components over a line (sort of the way profile builder does), and set a component to be placed wherever the line we are drawing makes a 90° (or selectable) angle....

If you like, it's sort of a "fence" plugin, where you can actually choose the components between the pickets, and the path along which you have to run has some corners....

Do you gyus have some hints for me?

..unfortunately this solution doesn't fit my needs: I'm working with medium-complexity dynamic components and I was wondering if there was some tool capable not to export some of their INNER object I may actually want to make present or not.
Say: you have a door and you can choose whether to have a door handle or not. In case you choose not to have it, I'd like to make it invisible (and I can do it with DC attributes) and I'd like not to export it in my components report.

Do you understand what I mean?

Yesterday evening I kept on testing the issues: I can install and run SketchUp 2017, but I cannot launch Indigo renderer and enscape. Both freeze......

I begin to think the issue here is the integrated video card drivers...... I'm running on a UHD graphics 630..... is there something I can do to fix this?

When trying to uninstall/re-install the first time I run the program it's ok, the second time it starts freezing......

maybe it's something related to the license check? Maybe a difficult check due to restrictions in outgoing signals of OUR firewall?

The Machine is very powerful, it absolutely not an hardware problem. Moreover, I'm a very long time SU user, so really BASIC operations like installing and opening the program should be absurdly easy.

And yet, it doesn't work....I don't know why...

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but this doesn't fix anything.......

Nothing.

And now SketchUp freezes, and can't continue.

I'm astonished. The Laptop is completely new, and SketchUp refuses to work. I truly don't know what to do.....
