I can't stand being in my kitchen when someone else comes in even my wife...I would suffocate to death in a place like that...man I need a breath of fresh air just watching it.

    • RE: Frickin huge pavilion

I've been under a large pavilion like this in a rain storm with the open gable ends and the high roof they actually provide very little shelter and with the open Gable ends depending on the time of day the sun also floods in. Just two observations also I agree that the stone column bases should have stone caps. I'd also want to see them extend up to the underside of the beams and maybe less taper to them... well ask an architect for his opinion and you may just get an earful....we're good at coming up with multiple design options...not so good and settling down on just one though.

    • RE: To my fellow Sketchuppers...

Have you sent out an email to all users or is that possible. Sometimes I check email but I don't go online to web forums for a while.

Well maybe you could also post a user list of users that have not migrated yet. That's probably too much work.

Or the age old adage will apply...you snooze you lose.

      regards

      Phil

Umm I was completly unaware of the need to "move" previous posts other than a general awareness that the operators of this site were "moving" to another site. My fathers motto was if I cant fix it with a hammer than I need to get a bigger hammer...so for folks like me you need to get a bigger hammer and make us aware of our responsibility to help.

so where do I go to help and what do I need to do to help out.

    • RE: Valentine's for Men?

Hard to beat the suggestions already submitted. For me something hand made anything even if it is just a card that you make by hand. Make 14 hand made cards each with a personal gift written on them, like a back rub, a movie, a cup of coffee etc. And then he can redeem the cards with you at his leisure. So some night down the road he might hand you the back rub card after a day of working in the yard and you can feel good giving him something he really needs or some day he may get have the day off and redeem the coffee coupon and you can treat him to a cup of coffee and get your self something as well. The idea is that valentines day is not just about that day but about a long term commitment.

But if that is not something you want you can't go wrong with new socks. All of my good socks have only one and the matching pairs seem to always have holes in the toes. But I'm too lazy to go to the store just for socks.

    • In Search of a Flash+XML+PHP Guru

      I ordered this web template:

      http://www.dynamicfactory.us/xmlswfdemo/xtrab/index.html

to use as my company website. I am in the process of customizing it.

      404 Not Found

      favicon

For the most part editing the XML file is easy which is referenced by the flash file. It's very user friendly....except I want to have a contact form and not just the contact information as text. The flash file has a contact form in it

      404 Not Found

      favicon

but it is not what appears when you click the "contact" button. Just text from the XML file comes in.

OK now the question is there a user here that is familiar with XML and Flash that I could buy you a beer or something to just edit the flash/XML file for me so that the Flash contact form come up when the contact button is pressed.

You can email me directly prader (at) philrader (dot) com

      thanks in advance

    • RE: Playing with pencil sketchy styles

I think FormFonts has an exchange which is free as long as you donate to it. SO you could upload it to the FF exchange and others could download it. But still I'd check with the user ageement from form fonts regarding distribution of something that started out as a download from them.
