RE: Corona Renderer for Sketchup
And the next step would be to also release it for the mac... I did download the corona benchmark and ran it under virtual box+win10. It was quite fast I must say. Ah well, still waiting for Vray 3 for SU.....

RE: VR2.0 Crashes with 2016
Ok, thanks! I don't have many big renders on the agenda at the moment so it's ok for me.

RE: VR2.0 Crashes with 2016
Hi,
No problems here so far. Did you also install the latest version on the slavemachines?Regards,

RE: How can I make bump map larger?
You can try changing the UV parameters in the texbitmap material. Changing the tile could do the trick. I usually add another diffuse layer (use a white color in transparency) and add the same bump map to the diffuse slot. This way I can alter or rotate the bump map in the sketchup window using the standard texture tools. Because of the white color in transparency it won't render. Oh, make sure the new diffuse layer is above the diffuse layer you want to render (be it a color or image).
Hope this helps!Regards,

RE: V-ray
Is the Vray cache also in that folder? Maybe it's so big because of all the temporary files stored there? 190GB is indeed extremely big!

RE: SP3 and 3.0 Email - Rumor Control
Yes it is too quiet. With Sketchup 2016 and Skatter on the horizon, it would be nice to upgrade everything at once!

RE: Translucent model take ages to render.
Hi, I took a quick look at your model. One thing I noticed is that the model has a couple of problems. There are open faces so it's not a solid model. And there are also some extra faces inside the lamp. These two can give problems when rendering transparency/refraction. I will try to clean up the model and post back the results here.
So just don't give up V-Ray yetRegards,

RE: Yellow glow from sun
So it kind of works, hmm. And if you render normal with the yellow ground as grey and color it afterwards?

RE: Yellow glow from sun
Hi Koen, I've found this youtube tutorial that has a solution for you problem: Hope it helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyidgvF5WlY

RE: Yellow glow from sun
It's the reflection from the ground that causes the yellow hue on the building. Change the color of the ground to see the effect (maybe a grey?).

RE: Translucent model take ages to render.
Could you share the model? I'm happy to have a look at it if you want.

RE: Translucent model take ages to render.
You can also try to give the model some thickness like real glass. Then play with the fog color and intensity, this could also add to the realism.

RE: Vray Office Interior
Simply creating an emitting material could do the trick. Replace glass of the lights with this material. Maybe that helps?

RE: Vray 2.0 NOT Rendering!!
Do you have any materials with displacement? Try turning it off in the options menu and try again. Maybe that helps?

RE: I hear crickets....
I have been trying out Thea the last couple of days and indeed it's a very neat render! I sure hope Chaosgroup shows some teasers because the low price point of thea along with support etc. could make me switch... (only hoping for Corona on Mac/Sketchup but that's another story...)

RE: I hear crickets....
Great to hear Sketchup is not all forgotten by Chaosgroup! Waiting anxiously!

RE: I hear crickets....
@jiminy-billy-bob, Ah didn't know that. I had some contact with him a while ago. And under his avatar it still says Vray Support. So who is the next victim we can throw our requests to?

RE: I hear crickets....
I hope you can give us Vray users some more info soon Devin! Development of Vray for Sketchup is stalled at the moment?
