my official podium 1.5 render.

thanks for your comments.. i initially wanted to try the depth of field of VraySU with this one, but did not have a success. it seems i must know exactly the location of my camera in order to do that. so that i would not have many trials and error.
yeap i used vraysu
why not visit the Asgvis.com, there are a lot of advance users there.
PS stefan. jsut a quick one. although, i am doing some now with vray itself.
displacement in vray will occurs only on grouped area. No Group no displacement.
if you want to displace a face be sure you have to group it first. (dont know why the manual did not explain this.
Settings? forget about those settings. just play with your texture size and texture multiplier.
additional thing with the above.
black- no displacement.
white - the highest displacement.
sometimes, there are areas which you want to displace , but the when you desaturate the color they turn out to be dark, therefore those areas will be displaced a little. you can adjust it by using paintign and smudge tool in photoshop.
once you are done, i usually add another filter. gaussian blur filter a bit. i found out the displacement is much much better.
TBD, david, and others. congratulation.
yikes, anyway thanks guys for your comment. i see now, my reflection got weird because of the filter map i used, but at the same time what an accident to make a chocolate. now lets give the athletes chocolates rather than dopes to make them hyperactive
just a quickie.. A tribute to the Olympians... a small work saluting all our athletes in Beijing.

Nomer, I want to thank you with this occasion, because your comments are always very very supportive and constructive in the same time. You are my favorite person from the forums! Ok..I said it! It's really admirable what you do in the forums.
Fernando, vray it's nothing without guys like Nomer and others. I would say that, 50% of what you learn,
came from this kind of wonderful community of people, who guide you, support you and make you to want more, to do better. I'm glad that you like my renders, I know I still have to learn allot, but I guess I catch the basics of vray. Thanks for comment!
Regards,
Stefan
Im humbled...with this i think i would like to thank Kwistein Biebel. Christ. thanks man.
a man who encourage each one of us.
anyone who knows a ruby tool that works like the shell tool in max. say an extruded spline and then when you make a shell, a thickness will be applied?
