i like the combination of modern furniture, bold colors and a what can only be a local touch. congratulations. and the renders are superb, as usual.
Phu my hng area here in saigon i should say as one of the modern area here... clean and with a lot of landscape. of course on thing is it lacks character in terms of local touch. we always say trying to duplicate other moern cities like singapore. therefore what we can only do is too apply these local touch in the interiors.

Beautiful work Nomer, as always I would say...in deed your "bold" colors reveal your skills regarding composition and the knowledge of how colors works.
Regards,
Stefan
thanks stefan for your inspiring comment. btw that red color was a request from my friend.

Nice work, like the bold colors
Like the lighting too.
thanks james for your appreciation..
some interior repurbishing for a chineese couple here in Saigon.
the woman 3d was found in the warehouse. and i think it was made using make human, the way she poses.
the teddy bear was urgen's.. thanks
another vray4SU render

night version

hahaha very nice... i really like the way you express your creative ideas. im already a fan of your rendering skill, but more appreciative with your ideas.. excellent.
ande, the rendering and light level is ok. im just not a fan of the composition though. hope you dont mind if i say some friendly remark, to push you further.
that tree located on the third portion of your composition became your focal point. and its not really the most important thing here.
perhaps you should be careful more on the landscape. especially avoid on just randomly placing plants everywhere.
check also your background horizon. its a bit high comparing with your model's horizon
lastly, perhaps try to add contrast of texture.. your texture below (are all rough textures so its easy really for them to fight together.
i know this is one of your exterior and im one of your fan in terms of your interiors. but i know you could improve further and definitely you will even pass the caliber like FA (jsut the thread you have written on the other forum).
on the other hand my compliment in you in maximizing those 3d trees other than xforgs.
nice piece stefan. i wonder whats the cause of the noise. did you use a higher noise threshold?
its difficult indeed to locate the camera. knowing the location of camera is a must in creating dof. or else you will end up in making lots of trial and error. i remember a ruby on this, it think "note camera" its inexpensive. go to smustard.com

Alex,
Great work. Nice to see progress for HCM City. Was a bit different when I was there last. I hope this gets built. Quite beautiful.
All the renders and all the styles were insiring. I'd like to know how you achieved some of these.
Allen
yeah a lot of changes happen to ho chi minh city in the last 3 years. i should say exponential growth of these kinda of projects. cranes are everywhere. one of the reason why of inflation in vietnam. i should say that the economy got overheated.
alex. the modelling and lighting is great indeed.
i actually like the way podium retain the sketchup texture. so projecting images + texture positioning is really great ease.
yeah thanks frederivk for liking those last images.
Ok some more Podium Images.
night render, i did my own preset but not happpy with it becuase of light leak.

here is the 12:45 pm view. the post process is just inserting the background images.

for more Raw render and XML test follow this link

ok here are the screeen grabs and lets put back the topic back on track...Peace Love... hehehehe. again i must say its all about texture...

last image the bamboo were placed far from the model to cast soft shadow in podium
i think its really wording or phrases misunderstanding...
steeler and i knows that were using both podium and vray renderer. so when i say 100% podium (to Steeler) its just mean that im using podium and not vray. having said that with the images above, the first image was indeed a 100% podium output (no postprocess) while the 2nd image, i have added a diffuse glow (thats it).
for the other images, very few tweaks indeed using levels and curves plus suttle glow, which is my favorite.
A lot of people doesnt really realize the power of sketchup interms of texturing and projecting image. this was the technique i actually explored here. so in the end the renderer has just few tweakings to do. Urgen an Jacques (silvershadow) inspires me on this area i guess after studying their models and rendering.
On the other hand, there is one thing i found out with podium here, it always respect the texture you apply in sketchup. vray on the other hand doesnot. sometimes you will realize that the linked texture were already have reflections. or even the link texture has its own blend materials. so i should conclude how podium and sketchup are actually related with each other...
as for frederik, i believe he was indeed talking about the post process thing.. but Sid is right to point out that post processing (tweaking levels) etc are common. even the proessional photographers do that.

Very nice indeed...
Could be interesting to see some SU shots of the scenes...@unknownuser said:
yes they all 100% podium...
as for the glow, i used photoshop.Eeehhh... Maybe it's just me, but then I wouldn't say it's 100% Podium...
sure i will atach some screen grabs later.

Fantastic renders Nomer
thanks sid. btw which parameter in xml file i should adust to remove light leaks?
i think i had the same problem before in cambodia, during our cultural exchange.
my questions are. are Google sketchup Free version? coz when we downloaded this, some of the textures of google were protected, so when we render using Podium (30days free) became black. but those ousiders textures did not.
yes they all 100% podium. the technique imho is texturing. if you have a good model with nice texture, any render engine can...
as for the glow, i used photoshop. copied the layer, used filter called diffuse glow. and then use mask to repaint areas which i dont want to have the glow.
thanks guys,
rerendering this global warming with Podium this time

and this one was a new one. comnbining wiht my old bonsai. Podium also
