The taxi and police car are great fun. Good artwork too.

RE: LOW POLY GALLERY
Nice one. Great example and reminder of the power of UV mapping, probably something that doesn't get done enough in Sketchup. Although I'm not sure at what point it would become more efficient on memory to use it in an "average" size static model?

RE: Wacom Pen in SketchUp?
I have had the same problem with 'mouse ache' in the shoulder and have tried a cheap pen and tablet in conjunction with a Razer Nostromo gaming pad for shortcuts on the left hand. The Razer speeds things up a lot but the problem is quick zoom and orbit when using the pen. Ended up re assigning the buttons on the razer for zoom and orbit and fitting a sturdy tray under the desk to get arms at right height.
Has anyone used the touch capability on the Wacom to rotate and zoom? Would it work on SU?
Also looked at vertical mouse but thought might not be as easy to make small movements for accuracy. Anyone tried that? -
RE: 3D Warehouse Problems
Sounds good, I will try it tomorrow when back at work. Thanks

RE: 3D Warehouse Problems
I have just started getting a similar problem. Sometimes the warehouse cannot connect through SU but will work straight from a web browser. I am on Windows 7 64bit with SU Pro 2014, any help would be good.

RE: Castle Gate Scene
Great job on the modelling and composition. I like it a lot just as a picture. Maybe you could do a version with slighlty lees watercolour effect so more detail comes through.

RE: Vertex points
Not sure what you mean. Can you post a screen shot?

RE: The Golden Age Of Steam
Excellent, and well composed. Did you model the engine too?

RE: Cant find my edges, lines after use round corners
Did you actually unsoften the edges or just unhide them?

RE: Navigation Options
I've also struggled with this in the past but as Dave says using layers is a major help. I design kitchens so the wall are always 'in the way' but you need them for reference. I now set up scenes with different layers turned off for placing mouldings etc. such as a birds eye view with the ceiling layer turned off.
I also use Profile Builder(Pro version) a lot as you can lock the the axes/direction as you place runs of moulding- easier than drawing lines and using follow me tool -
RE: Another Render for Grand Designs Live 2014
Nice, Neets you have a very distinctive style, quite refreshing. The glowing lamp, apart from being close to a natural sweet spot in the frame, also appears to be'square on' to the camera. I think it makes it look a little as though it has been photoshopped in. The base of the lamp looks horizontal (is that what is referred to as a Tangency?), perhaps if it were rotated slightly it might look more natural. I am assuming of course that the base is square in shape and that you believe I have any idea of what I am talking about.

RE: Disaster
I had this same problem a while ago after reinstalling SU8 Pro. It turned out that there were empty folders left over from the previous uninstall. I had to make sure all old folders relating to SU in the 'Programs' folder were deleted and then did a fresh install. Then it worked. Don't know why because the old folders were empty.

RE: Moody places
Well done. I like them, just like looking at scenes from a game

RE: I need some ideas for this kitchen
You could also use a glass panelled ceiling extractor hood to remove the focus on the hood you have now

RE: I need some ideas for this kitchen
You only need to humanise it. Go with your photo background to the glass. If you have room bring the island forward and lengthen the seating area. Put a cluster of small lights over the seating end to focus the importance of people. Put some warm leather stools in even if you don't like the style of them. Then render it and review it.

RE: I need some ideas for this kitchen
What render engine are you using?
Have you tried a clay render to determine if your lighting is bright enough and well placed?
You could consider doors without handles. 'j' pull integrated for example.
Any render output really needs some post pro work to give it a lift, so a render with white doors would look flat without it.
There are plenty of bar stools on the Google warehouse.
Are you looking for hanging lights the positions you have marked. Something with a coloured shade matching the stool colour might help. -
RE: [Plugin] FredoTools::ThruPaint - v1.3a - 20 Oct 16
Great. I will take a look at it. Thanks for the quick reply and great plugin.
