RE: [Plugin][$] Profile Builder 2
Dale this plugin is great, I've used the original PB for years but the ability to create my own profiles and the assembly builder really made this chain possible.
Well with the money
Thanks

Mac help with Paint Bucket
I'm using Twilight Render and I have several surfaces that all use the same color but I want them to have different render characteristics i.e. shinny, flat, eggshell and so on. If I duplicate that color and now I have the name "copy" and try to paint a surface no mater what I do it seems to revert back to original in the colors palette in the Colors in Model. I have only been successful at choseing a different shade of say black or white or what ever color. Editing name doesn't change things and some times the color "color_009" becomes Material 07 or something. I've read SU's tutorials on Paint Bucket but I guess I just don't get it.
Thanks

RE: [Vanity Submission] Medicine Cabinet
Well it's a good beginning, but a few CC I noticed off the bat and it will directly affect Cutlist, You need to understand what cutlist is looking for in the model. It works well for those who understand and spend time learning how the plugin works.
- You should have each piece you are going to cut in the shop as a separate component. The top looks to be 2 pieces and unless you intend to use a French cleat the back of the top shouldn't be beveled.
- IMO you have used a large group for the entire piece you don't need to do that unless you plan to combine it with other vanities in a model to keep them separate. 3. You should watch or read about components and their axes. You can change them. and when you copied the front doors you should have flipped them along the red axes so they where opposites or mirrored so if you make changes they appear correct.
It's a good start and only speak from lots of frustration in the beginning of learning SU A fellow here name Dave R has a blog on Fine Woodworking website you should check out, and SU has some very simple videos that will teach you the basics if you want this to work for you especially if you plan to build your own projects.
One more thing when you learn enough to start using Layers ( very advantageous thing to learn) ALWAYS draw on Layer0 never on a Layer of it's own once you have the "entities edges and faces combined to make a component then and only then you can put it on a separate Layer that will save you a lot of headaches later.
Good luck

RE: [Plugin] GhostComp - v1.4a - 31 Oct 18
I guess I should further explain what I did. I had a large component of grass that contained nested comps of grass to move and copy at one point I hide the GC while in GC visibility (cube) mode but when i unhide it, it would not return to regular comp.

RE: [Plugin] GhostComp - v1.4a - 31 Oct 18
Within the last month I installed Ghost Comp from the Sketchucation Plugin Store so I believe I have the latest ver.
Great plugin works great but after hiding a GC I noticed it won't change back to regular comp. not sure why. Tried everything I could think of. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
I apologize if this has been addressed already. -

Very cool Dave, and good luck to your friend's son on his Eagle scout project, we need more young people like them.

RE: Could use some help with a material
Well it's better, I think I may still have to play around with ThruPaint some more.

RE: Could use some help with a material
Had some time today to try Rich's advice but not coming out with same results. The 2 bottom right and left faces aren't UV mapped correctly not sure why perhaps I missed a step.

RE: Could use some help with a material
I've been wanting to learn to use that plugin, now's a good time as any
Thanks Rich -
Could use some help with a material
In the picture the driveway has a semicircle brick pattern to it. Right now I'm using a herringbone brick pattern but would like to make it more like the picture so what's the best way do that. A circular pattern for it or use a UV mapping plugin to show the semicircle pattern to it.
Thanks Walt
