LibFredo6 is a Shared Library which is used by some of my scripts. The first one to use it is FreeScale. It used to be called LibTraductor in previous times.

Version 3.1 or higher is necessary to run FreeScale 2.0

As a user, you should not bother too much, except to install it and respect the versions required by the Plugins. The current version of LibFredo6 is 3.1 (so 31 in integer form). I maintain backward compatibility so plugins using an older version of LibFredo6 should work with a new version.

LibFredo6 takes care, among others, of enriching the plugin with a few capabilities:

• Default parameters
• Language translation via external files (please, read the doc if you wish to contribute)
• Extra information and external links available in the “About…” box and menus

LibFredo6 installs a submenu “LibFredo6 Settings…” in the Sketchup Windows menu. It contains a command to set the language preferences, to set a few default parameters (inference colors) and to access the documentation (as a PDF).

I like to add this to Sketchup 8 Free version list:
~The ability to create 3d games.
~Import and export 3d game level maps "Quake, Myst ETC.. for example"
~More free exporter's and importers.
~The ability to increase or decrease gravity in the collision detection.
~The best for all - more surprizes.

Oh - The reason I asked for it is because the pro version is way too expensive. I cannot afford $500.. Unless I can download ruby and try to create all the scripts and plugins that the pro version have and add it to the free version..

Cool, same here. I like the idea - especially a stary lit sky in the back ground for example.

I like the thumnail of the backdrop fixed. I noticed that when I uploaded a model with a watermark backdrop of a sky in the background to the 3D Warehouse, I can see the snapshot of the model, but not the watermark. It's all white out. Also when I save it, the thumnail snapshot of the watermark backdrop is not showing in the preview pane.

Wow! When is Sketchup 8 coming?

I keep getting a bugsplat everytime I try to edit a model. I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it.. Is there a way other to fix it?

~Oh, also in top view "By pressing the top view icon" the model cannot be selected when I click on it.. But when I rotate it a little bit -it can be selected..
Is there a way to fix it? It also happens in the side, front & back view.

I have some wishes for Sketchu 7 free version:

1. Import gif animated image files "Moving pictures".
2. Clipping/sliceing bug of very large models "over 6000' diameter" to be fixed.
3. The ability to create 3-D games "Game developers toolbox".
4. The ability to delete hidden geometry yet keeping the surface of the model.
5. Wall tool "for building houses"
6. The ability to compute volume of a model "Similer to finding the area of it"
7. Import/export more 3-d files from different 3d designing applications.

Well, because I am waiting for Sketchup 7 to arive.. Been waiting so long for it.

1. The GSU Team develops the new product - adds feature that are "mature" enough to launch, sorts out bugs that are there etc.

1. Whenthey think it is ready for beta testing, the tests start but no-one (even the GSU Team) knows how long they are going to go on because it all depends on the succes/speed of sorting out the issues.
2. Even whenthe developers (GSU Team) already has some clue when the launch is due, they won't tell anyone.
   So there are no hints around I'm afraid.
