That is a matter to speak with Trimble. There are network licences available wich do what Tig describes but I guess they would be willing to negotiate with you... (I know I would...)

it may be a simple error on your part... In the past I have hit 'Preview' instead of 'Submit', read my post then quit... took ages to workout what I was doing wrong, i.e. I never hit 'Submit'... on the other hand, it may be 'Big Brother' censoring your post's... john

I may be misunderstanding what you want to do. Have you created a "path" and you want to place your breakwater wall sections along the path? If so you could look at Component Stringer by Chris Fullmer http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=clf_component_stringer Comp String Sam D Mitch http://sdmitch.blogspot.com Path Copy http://www.smustard.com/script/PathCopy You'll find them useful even if it's not what you are wanting to do. If you are wanting a jumble of your shapes you could look at sketchy physics, but I suspect it would be a lot of setup just to drop them all in place.

In my example I found that the path itself is the problem Probably because it becomes part of the volume along the edge Once I removed the path the volume was calculated as a whole. I retried when moving the faces slightly away from the path (so not connected) Somehow the volume was not calculated, but when I now deleted the intermediate faces as TIG suggested I got the complete volume, Strange... Anyway its working now, thanks for the suggestions!

I might also suggest that if the geometry you are working with doesn't work well with the orientation of the axes, just change the axes so they do. Context click on the axes, select "place" or "change axes" then put it where you want them. You would usually want to use the geometry you are working with as the inference point for placing the new axes.

What a simple solution! Thanks very much for your lightning fast response, sometimes you can stare yourself blind. Ehh...I have some more problems, but because I could not even solve the simplest puzzle I left those. So...some new challenges ahead, but no more mightnight oil burning for me. With help through this forum I should be able to prevent that Thanks again!!
