@jql said: Looks good but in this sort of stuff most of it has to do with cost/efficiency, unfortunately. It seems that the Vortex is ahead of prop wind turbines in both cost and efficiency. The units have less parts and are much cheaper to make than the prop turbines also their footprint is much smaller and more can be fitted in. @juju said: what impact will the continuous vibrations have on sub-surface fauna? From what I can see the vibrations don't go into the ground. In any case they have to be much safer for birds. I have visited a local wind farm here in my county and saw evidence of bird kills .... not a nice sight

I admit I did just go to McD's for the first time in a long time and was impressed by the hi-tech interior and nice service layout, even the coffee is better than you'd expect. But when the order comes, it doesn't look like the pictures, and the flattened Egg McMuffin, sounded so good, doesn't really bring to mind a proper English muffin when you are eating it. It's there and gone without fanfare. I always like their fries on an occasional road trip. Mea culpa indeed.

Like this: [image: hHvf_Context_Menu_Shortcut.png] open the group/component and select a face only go to 'Preferences/Shortcuts' and filter on 'select'. grab this bar and drag right to view the full menu item name (you can't modify the Preferences window size itself) select the 'Bounding Edges' item from the list enter your shortcut The main thing to remember is that to add a shortcut for a context menu item, you must be in the specific context that loads it into the context menu flyout (you can check that by right clicking and seeing if your desired item shows up in the flyout: if not, you're not yet in the proper context). Otherwise it won't show up as an option in the 'Shortcuts' list. It's not obvious that it works this way, but once you understand how it works it does make sense. Hope this helps. Doug

@driven said: Looks like a good package, shame it will need to be registered as a moped in the european union... You'll need registration, insurance, a licence and to wear a motorcycle helmet... john I've looked into that matter and from what I can gather its very grey at the moment. I know a couple of guys that have Chinese electric / peddle scooters and it seems, here at least, that registration and insurance is not required although I understand that a motorbike helmet is but again is only sensible to have head protection in case of a collision. The head protection that appeals to me is the Hovding bicycle airbags which is claiming to offer three times more protection than a standard bicycle helmet. http://www.hovding.com/

interesting design , not my cup of tea I'm more of a mid-century modern kind of guy. found the comments about what the bricklayers must have thought somewhat funny. when I worked in the construction industry 20 odd years ago masons were paid by the number of blocks of bricks they laid in a day. yes in my part of the U.S. the masons would not have been happy with this thing….

Daniel, Yes, in today's world we see a lot of foreign plant / animal invaders. This would appear to be a problem caused by the extent of globalisation we currently have. I have not read enough about Dr. Miyawaki's methods yet to know if he has addressed this problem but would imagine he has taken this into account. Maybe the 300 plants per 100 sq.m. density plays a major role in keeping the invaders out ....... just no room for them. They (the invaders) are opportunists after all
