HERE THE ENGLISH VERSION OF THE PDF TUTORIAL OF ANIMATOR

I'm getting ready for the English version.

ENGLISH:At last, I'm pleased to introduce the tutorial and video for the ANIMATOR Plugin, designed for use with Sketchup, enabling the creation of impressive animations. It's taken quite a few hours of work, though the tutorial is intended as a basic introduction. The link to the tutorial can be found below, offering a 54-page PDF outlining the core features of ANIMATOR, alongside a few examples of more intricate animations. There's a chance it might contain a few oversights, for which I apologise. Despite being in beta for a while, the plugin remains a highly valuable tool for animating Sketchup projects. The animations boast impressive resolution, with nearly all film parameters under control. I hope this aids you in your animation pursuits and I encourage you to share the guide, assisting fellow users keen on animation. Thank you.

      PDF ANIMATOR TUTORIAL
. After discussing it with Fredo6, I'm now publishing it in this post, as it seems the most fitting choice.

Here's the link to the explanatory video and tutorial (in the video's description) in their Spanish version, published in my video youtube channel.

I'm currently working on the English version. This order is necessary due to layout considerations, as English tends to use fewer words. I hope it aids other designers in creating excellent animations with this superb plugin. I trust it will be helpful to you and that you'll share it with fellow users.

Thanks Fredo for your acclaration. Now I am using Sketchup 2014.

Fortunately alive!. Thanks again for your care.

You hare good coders but better persons.

Compared with your Animator plugin the used in my video is really poor(frame Animation). The animation that I did is only plenty of tricks, artisan job and posproduction in some videos.

Postproduction i a really important key in most films.

I advice HitFilm. A very unknown and ppwerful software for PostPro.

      MORE EXPERIMETS

1- I installa Animator on Sketchup 2014 on the same PC

2- Works perfectly. meke the animation and the final video without problems.

Posible problem: we know that Sketchup 2013 and 2014 have quite differnt folder structure, firsly in the plugin placement.

      Could be related with this?

      thanks again.

4- Try to generate a video with defaut parameters. Push the button "Test Image" and also work

    • RE: SketchUp 2014

After several checks oabout Sketchup 2014 I should say that I am unsatisfied and decpcionated.

Perhaps I expect more than I should about the new version, but I feel that SU2014 long away of the spirit that google creates Sketchup.
Ther are several improvements but there are other problems that make me feell disapointed with this version.

For example the plugins. Why I sould renounce to the set of useful plugins tha I have in SU2013 or SU8.

New version, but only two superfluous tools?, Who needs the Pie tool or the new Arc tool?.
That's no what I expect of a new version. Shure that there is no other useful tools that we need?

Is true, now the graphic system works with the GPU, but in a low level power. I have a Nvidia Qadro 5000, but SU2014 seems like to work at the tenth of the full power of the card (the card are perfectly recognized by SU2014).

Well, I was waiting a new version with truly improvements and no so many drawbacks, that let me working with the faulty older SU2013 version.

This is the future with trimble?

Here I Wil try to include the versión JPG of the tutorial EXTRUDE TOOLS V2.2, but previously...

Even knowin the titanic effort that supose to modify someting in a relatively old code,I would like to suggest to TIG three minor (or giant?) modifications that could make improve the plugin from perfect to universal.

      Posible modifications:

1- In EXTRUDE EDGES BY LOFT, make posible to work with Closed Curves (like Curviloft)

2- In EXTRUDE EDGES BY EDGES, make posible to select a Edge as path (not only a Curve)

3- In EXTRUDE EDGES BY FACE, make posible to choose a profile in any plane (not limited to XY plane)

Anyway, THANKS TIG for your excelent work.

It might be... BUT the latest version of the toolset available from The SketchUcation Plugin Store has evolved... it has a reordered toolbar and several future-proofing tweaks - I recommend you get it asap...
The core usage and tools have not changed however so your tut' is 99.9% applicable - just update any toolbar images... 😄

      Thanks for making the tutorials...

However, you are making your life more complicated that it needs to be.

Your jpg could be added directly to a post as it is small enough.
The PDF is too large to attach...
Limit is ~4Mb... could you reduce its quality so it's just small enough...

But a 'movie' could be hosted on YouTube - then you could add a link in a post - so then it'd be viewable within SketchUcation...

It seems a pity to make access to your hard work so difficult...

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to upload the images of the Tutorial in several post.

I no ned to say that the resolution of the images in this case are notably lower, but in any case you can download the original tutorial in Hi-Res PDF with the previous link (more complex also).
