But i do have a question ...when aplying the material/texture you must apply it by selecting the group or just editing the group and adding the material on the faces directly?

You put these pictures in the emvironment tab , by pressing the 'm' buttons/ after that you have to choose bitmap in the left tab and the spherical in a option box up then right. There is another 'm' with which you chose and place your hdr pictures. You do the same thing both on skylight and background. And also consult the vray manual.

Front and back renders in a more suitable environment.

I don't know about the earth but the planet i live on, Zeta Reticuli, is pare shaped

I thought that a game could be a fun activity for some of us so here are the rules.
Anyone can make one and only one component,simple or complex, related to the current theme of the game.
There should be 5 to 10 components in total made for one game.
When that number is reached then the purpose of the game swithces to using all those previously made components producing the coolest/esthetically pleasing arrangement or component.
The premade components should not be edited at all except for scaling them.
The winner shall be decided by the community or for faster decion making by one of the moderators if he/she so decides.
The winner then decides the next theme for the game.

THE THEME FOR THE FIRST GAME IS: A LIVING ROOM..you can model anything that can be used in a living room (eg. chairs, table , drapes etc.)

Ohh and about that car...625 ponies (has more on the new model), who wouldn't love that car, i saw one on the street once i can only express it as Daddy i want one i also want an automatic handsketcher
