Yeah Torel, kind of a mixed bag, but I'm focusing on the positive side too.
Thanks Rich

Yeah thanks lol. A simple e-mail just informing me that they would use it would have been enough. Then, at least I could ask if they needed more models or had similar paid jobs for other animes
Ah well, such is the world. Still, I'm blown away that one of my humble models from 8 years ago was seen by hundreds of thousand of people probably.
I need to vent...i'm too excited.
So yeah...i was watching the anime Space Brothers when in episode 10 at minutes 4:06---4:14 they put a short clip of sci ifi ship. I almost jumped like a crazy person when I saw it.
They've taken my Hydra freighter model made it a bit stubbier and drew on top of it, but it's unmistakably my ship.
I'm more excited than pissed, this is a ship I made 8 years ago and the model of which I put on the google 3d warehouse. So anyone could have downloaded it and modified it and made money or had fun off of it. I was aware that could happen, I mostly shared it for fun not thinking anyone would actually bother with it especially not thinking it would end up in an anime.
I even uploaded a short clip of it to youtube 8 years ago.
Thanks guys.
Glad you like it Rich, I wasn't specifically going for an anime style, but I'm not that good at realistic, though it turned out well.

Good to see you around !
Keep it Sketchin !
It's going alright. Nothing has changed since we talked last time.
Nice to be back. Haven't modeled anything interesting in a while.
Thanks. Hmm where do you think they'd fit?

So it's finally out. Great job mate.
I suggest that in the next one you should use a pair of blue balls. )

A Space Ferrari!
Else do you know this thing ?
Thanks. A Ferrari is not really the look i'm after. I'll have to texture it to make it look better. It's gonna take a while.
Wow, that's cool.
Thanks.
Yeah it's a bit dark on my monitor too. It's probably a combination of monitor settings and render settings why we see them somewhat differently.
Oh god Damien, I hope we don't have to wait another year for that texture.

Time you boys wrap things up and start giving us something to play with, I want a render this model from y'all.
Renders will come, hopefully, soon. They ships need some more polish
Damien, those pics look great. I was also thinking of rescaling your ship to fit the new look. Also have a look at the inside of my ship....you might find a cozy place...no chairs or beds in it yet.

I started doing something for the thrusters, but then I got a completely different idea. This is the way I normally work.
Hi Marian! Super idea! The model does not look bad at all. With luck, I think this ship will replace the one in Star Trek
Anyway, I downloaded the model and it is great, but of course you can improve more.
Good luck with the model and if you have time, have a look at the video, the models are, of course, created by me in SketchUp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CV2pYilDZvs
Please let me know your opinion in the comments!
Good luck!
Thanks Leonard, please try and write in English so all the visitors can understand.
Nothing will ever replace the Star Trek ships, they're classics loved by millions, i'd have to get ahold of some powerful brain washing machine.
Pretty cool film you have there, but it needs more spaceships to register on my radar, sorry. haha
