I have no access to "other languages" sub forums.
How may I and if there is a plan to get them back?

RE: RayScaper
@ntxdave So, RS does not work on prior versions?
@pixelcruncher Good news and progress! -
RE: Atmospheric approach
@majid
It is a while since I have an eye on MIR studio renders:

@ntxdave Do you mind checking if this link works, please?

RE: RayScaper
The other day I was plating with "Plastic" shader and here are some of the images.
The engine material settings seem promising as even in very dark hues you can see the color.

RE: Atmospheric approach
@faust07 Wow, What a beautiful place...
yeap, this is insane to walk on those rocks, yet helped me to convey a feeling and resonate with the viewer. -
RE: Atmospheric approach
@Rich-O-Brien Sort of,
When I was looking at the photo, I imagined what would be the right structure down there that might be attractive to people... and fits best to the environment.... Then started making my story.... sketched and developed the idea.... -
RE: Atmospheric approach
@L-i-am in all of the designs the concept has been to be in harmony with the context. Pebbles, Branches and river, flatness, etc...

Atmospheric approach
Mates,
Although the modeling and rendering are done entirely using Blender, I thought the approach could be inspiring, that is why instead of corner bar, I shared it here. Also the job could be done using SketchUp obviously.
Nowadays there are plenty f rendering engines -that provide a wide range f candies assets- and the result has too much taste of CGI.
I am old school guy so prefer atmospheric photographic approach instead of CG look
Here is the glimpse of what I have been busy doing past 4 days for my portfolio!

RE: RayScaper
@pixelcruncher
Okay,
So right now the Directioonal light, works independently, am I right?
Then there would be fine if it matches the sketchup sun position by default and having an option to detach it from tje sunlight, IMO -
RE: RayScaper
@pixelcruncher Thanks Thomas, and how may I exactly match the sun's direction with the direction-light?
-
RE: RayScaper
It seems I have a problem with thin glass material. Do I must apply it to both sides of the plane or just one side? it seems that it does not let the light in.

RE: RayScaper
@pixelcruncher I like in-built DOF effect of the RayScaper and it is too intuitive!
Compared to real-life photography that one has to know the aperture steps , etc... it is really easy, and this is really great that it had it from the very first release, without any sensible change in rendering time...
Is there any Bkeh effect on the road-map? -
RE: NEW Forum Software Issues
@Rich-O-Brien So, this is what I see, and it seems working..

RE: Beautiful Amsterdam
@gullfo
, without a clue (GARIBALDI), Google Maps wouldn't help you, you have keen eyes on details.
Also contrary to public belief, I realized German people are very friendly. I went to a bookstore, near the GARIBALDI, talking with the bookseller lady about art books, etc, we became friends! She invited me to their villa near Uffing! His wife Reinhold also was a children's books illustrator. for dinner we met another cartoonist and his wife, We met twice again in Solln, she introduced other friends, and now feel old friends! -
RE: Beautiful Amsterdam
@gullfo Wow , good job Glen, I changed the composition somehow and it is not yet the best I am wondering how did you found the exact spot!
This is the photo I used, and as you see I have changed the colors, light direction, and somehow the composition....
