We won the second scheme too! ~£40m contract value, but spread over probably around 5 to 10 years.

I have done pretty successful matches from other software which also does not have a camera export that could be used in SU by simply exporting an image first and then using SketchUp's match photo function to exactly (or at least as much as possible) match the image with the SU model. (Normally one would go the other way round, true).

Vray for 3ds max, but you could achieve an identical floor with just about any decent render engine. It's an Arroway concrete texture that I've tweaked to suit my purposes (adjusted specular map & used procedural noise as a bump, rather than the .jpg provided by arroway) Hope to get a little more done on it tonight. Fingers crossed.

Yes, all the trees, plants & grass are 3d. I modelled a couple of bespoke trees in Onyxtree to suit my needs.

Sorry, should've included that in the original post... It's all modelled in sketchup (except foliage & car) and rendered in Vray for 3DS Max. Lighting on the daytime one is VRay sun & sky, lighting on the dusk one is HDRI + IES lights on the exterior & Vray Spherical lights internally.

Thanks for the comments & critiques people, it's very much appreciated. Ken, the whole model was textured in sketchup - because 3ds max reads the UV coordinates once I bring it in and start setting materials up. Though in hindsight there are things that I should have textured in max such as those wooden boards on the underside of the roof canopy... I spent absolutely ages moving the texture on each board (they're all individually modelled) around to prevent tiling and also to give me the chance to apply different amounts of hue/saturation/reflectivity to each one in max. However I've since learned a far quicker way of doing this winthin max. I did the same thing with the "sleeper" fence around the car park too. The only non sketchup elements are the foliage, cars & people.
