even though I signed the petition I have to agree with john on this. But something could be done to make SU easier to install and get working with wine.

    • RE: Indigo Going Commercial

I'm wondering if Lux will rise to the challenge and fill the void that indigo will leave... I've used it a tiny bit with blender and was extremely impressed. Not only the program was great (even had inbuilt noise removal controls), but the plugin for blender is amazingly well integrated. If they could do that for SU, and yes plans have been made to do this I think, then that would be very interesting indeed!

    • RE: Subdivide and Smooth Feature Requests

if it automatically applied smoothing when it finished then I reckon more people would use the apply materials option

    • RE: Sketchup On-screen keys tutorials

I have a su feature request to do with this. Being able to toggle selection modifiers on or off would be really nice (ctrl, shift, both ...) I broke my arm recently and this is one of the biggest setbacks I have noticed.

a vertice editing mode, where you can select single or several vertices to be moved, rotated or scale would be great.

    • RE: The SketchyPhysics Wiki

Actually I think I can! http://sketchyphysics.wikia.com/wiki/The_UI_and_toolset on this page under the joint connector I think it should mention (left) ctr - click. I had some real trouble, because I'm using one hand and it is easier for me to use the right one on my laptop. Until this issue gets fixed it would be good to mention that.

    • RE: SKU to 3DMax Help Tread

you could use the blender method and export it as google earth, unzip it by renaming it as .zip then import the .dae inside into blender as collada. Does this method retain textures?

ok thankyou cphillips for solving the prob! I wasn't using the left ctrl like I usually do because I broke my left arm recently, and it is easier to use the right one on my laptop keyboard! but the is still that little glitch with the box in the wrong spot!
