Scale is definitely the issue here, not incomplete texturing. Not sure why you received that judgment, but the scale is definitely off. Please remember to always test your final model in Google Earth itself. It takes seconds to do just by hitting the "Place Model" button in SketchUp. @unknownuser said: If you look at the model from above it should blend into the google terrain. If textures or model parts show from afar it is not likely going to get into the 3d layer. This is not true. We are looking for accurate and current, and don't fail models for having easily visible differences from the GE imagery. The BEST model is going to have ground level photography that has been cleaned up in an image editor to remove things like wires, road signs, bushes/trees, along with an appropriate amount of geometric detail. What "appropriate amount of geometric detail" means, is to include architectural features of the structure that enhance it's visual appeal without going to the architecturally completedetail level, which would increase the polygon/face count to the point where it's too complex and will be failed for that reason. @unknownuser said: I have had models in the warehouse for 6 months to a year before they gained a place in the 3d building layer. We are working everyday to improve this. Stay tuned and please add more models! YOU get to build the future of Google Earth! Cheers, - CraigD

Of the 3 id go for the 1st one, i find the linework a it overpowering in the second 2. Overall i tihnk the linework could do with being toned down a bit, good use of colours though, very subtle.

Hello Lucius, Great model with lots of detail! May I ask where you got the measurements of the aqueduct from? I have to make a 3D model of the pont du gard for a school project and while I can find some measurements online (like the height of the different tiers) I can't find all of them (like the height of the arch itself, or the position of the middle tier on the bottom tier). Also, the information I found is often inaccurate. It would be really helpful if you could tell me where you got the measurements from. Thank you in advance!

Yes, obviously one great advantage of png files is that they support transparency so whenever you apply them on a surface there can be areas where you can "see through". Open your materials browser and check out the "Fence" materials. They are all (?) partly transparent png files and using them will let you have those fences without the need of modelling all that stuff and loading your model with heavy geometry. also a lot of the 2D plants work with these transparent png's Yet there are drawbacks; this "transparency" does not support shadows - i.e. the whole face will cast the shadow as a big "block". Mostly you would turn off the "cast shadow" feature of the entzity... But this is already OT - on a mobile phone you need not cast shadows...
