I think the only new thing in the API is the action to open EW at a given page. Otherwise it's all the same. So all plugins developed "for 2013" will work just as before.
great
thanks

Developers have already moved to SU2013, but did users notice it? Did plugins stop working in older versions?

I wouldn't worry about it, Juan. If you have been keeping up with the latest updates to some of the most popular rubies, you've been using 2013 versions for weeks. Did you notice any difference?
I have no idea of what you both are talking about but I feel really happy with this good news
Thanks a lot
I am thinking that it is going to be problematic for SketchUp 8 users
in the near times coming if the Ruby developers attach to the new version of
SketchUp 2.013 , or maybe not .
What I mean is :
will it be possible to run in SketchUp 8
the new updated plugins with its new improvements made for SketchUp 2.013 ?
Or will it not ?
thanks

An incredible amount of work went into this and it's a great tool for community members.
( about PluginStore )
And much more now for the people who have not upgraded to 2.013 version .
Indeed it is
So please keep it up
Cheers
ah ... well ...
time to get back to**work**
I have finally made the decision to uninstall SketchUp 2.013 from my machine and to stick to SketchUp 8 version
Great dissapointment .
Final of my conclusions : the logical process of a business is to invest some money on the development of something , and once got it , trying to sell it to the people interested and so being able to get the money back and if lucky to obtain benefit .
So now , in this case , it seems that the process is : first people invest their money so that the development can be taken and once got it , it is sold to the same people to get the benefits , without having invested any money first . ... brilliant ...
Hi people see you later
Hi , Trimble , have a good day or whatever .
hey mitcorb
please there is nothing to worry about
same words go for you
Cheers
one question Renderiza
is it possible the undo option ? I can not make it and I think it would nice to have it so to see once and again the changes made
thanks
... still in the Corner Bar , drinking calmly , watching my thread , a bit confused by the presence of some colleagues who have joined it but do not share a drink with me , I just have seen this post from thomthom

One of the things under the hood is a new supported C API SDK aimed to replaced the old unsupported C++ API SDK.
Not something the end user benefits from directly right now, something that benefits the whole SketchUp ecosystem in the long run.
so , it may be worth to wait and see , since our beloved Ruby needs the Masters
but , a question raises to my mind ,
should not we better pay the Masters for their work than to pay to Trimble ?
is this upgrade simply a Tax to belong to this Company ?
is it worth because the improves in Layout and the improves about saving animation in SketchUp ?
...........
mmmm ..... have to think about it
IΒ΄ll get another beer
Corner Bar , is it , ?
...uhmmm ... SketchUp 13 what a shock
you know the good thing about SketchUp is the Ruby thing coming to us from the fourth version
Masters can do incredible things for all of us improving endlessly the software
Who needs any body else ?
We cared about Google now about Trimble and ...
So I raise my cup for this bit of beautiful software that has inside the power of self _ development
And for this Forum that keeps the charm and the warmth
Cheers
warning
Custom Toolbars ruby by **Jim**will not load the existing
neither the SketchUp fullscreen ruby from Anton_S will work properly ,
As far as I have investigated .
I keep saving files in SKETCHUP 8 version just in case
sorry sapper545
no way to get to open it
maybe if you contact Trimble support ...
salud
Hi Anton_S ,
I am not able anymore to keep retain or save the settings with this new upgrade
thanks for this fantastic plugin

Gus,
... Now, I think I should maybe think about adding a tool to transform a flat contour map into an elevated contour set.
mmmmmm ... that would be just the maximum
cheers
