 This was a real job. And we modeled terrain and placed veg to approximate the real world conditions. Clay mockup As nice as photoreal renders are, I almost always prefer clay rendering previews we send to our clients. This recent image was one of a long series that never went past clay because this architect prefers just to see the massing so her clients don't get distracted.

RE: Vray renders everything pitch blackI realize this is an old post, but thought I'd chime in in case someone else finds this thread. It looks to me like you are rendering the alpha channel. That would explain the sky going away too.
