If it is OpenGl related you can update your graphic card drivers or disable features on the driver.

RE: Lock selection??
I think there is a plugin here about selection memory. You can't lock your selection but, at least you can bring it back.

RE: Click speed and Escape
That speed problem also happened to me at first in 2013, when I first installed it. Then I noticed that I had hardware acceleration disabled.
Go to window > preferences > OpenGL check if hardware accel and fast feedback are on.

RE: DraftSight, free 2D CAD
We are using DS too. W just use it for older projects that were developed in CAD or for cleaning up Sketchup Exports and exchanging drawings with engineers. It's also very good to prepare dwg exports to subit to city hall, creating dwf files wich are mandatory here in Portugal. For everything else Sketchup+Layout are the best... except probably BIM wich I found too awkard to use when I tried it before.

RE: Creating scalable vector graphic file in SketchUp
Johnbarb,
You won't need to trace the lines over an image if your .pdf is a vector .pdf.
The process I use to transform vector .pdf into .skp is by using inkscape (an excellent opensource vector graphics software).
1 - Import the pdf into inkscape
2 - Export it as dxf
3 - Import into sketchup (there are some dxf in/out plugins but I never tried them because I have pro version)
4 - Scale dxf with the measurement tool
5 - For texts there is a dxf text import plugin by Tig that is very handy. For those plugins search Sketchucation Plugin Store,
For exporting to .svg you can use the svg plugin rich pointed or, if you have sketchup pro or a pdf printer installed in your system, you can print/export a .pdf from sketchup or layout and import it to inkscape again. You'll get a file that you can then save in .svg wich is the native inkscape format.
Hope this sheds some more light into that matter.

RE: Text Import
Well seemed easy enough for me, but I can see your point now...

RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools
You were fast or what Rich? I suppose there are no original ideas...

RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools
Hi all,
What an excelent plugin this is! Getting better and better each release. I got a feature sugestion that you might consider:
- What about having a button for release notes for the plugins? I know we can click on more info but, for plugins we already are familiar with, only the release note/changelog would be necessary.
Thanks for your excelent work and best regards,

RE: [Plugin] Edge Tools
Thomthom,
Since Sketchup 2013 the inspect tool in Edgetools2 has been very unstable.
Split faces is working fine, erase stray edges is perfect as ever and I can also use align vertices. However most of the time I try the inspect tool Sketchup crashes sometimes it's only when I press the circles, but it also happens just for executing the tool. The strange thing is that it actually inspects correctly but then SU stops responding. This is happening with both complex and simple models.
I have the most recent version installed and also TT Library. I erased both folders and reinstalled from Sketchucation Plugin Store.
As I don't see anyone saying the same thing I suppose it might be my problem, but would you have some kind of guidelines for figuring out what I can do?
Thanks and best regards,
EDIT: I just isolated both TTLib and Edgetools and removed every other plugin from plugins folder and it crashed again...

RE: Would this freak you out?
Lol that one is spreading fast in the internet. It's excellent and I see it everywhere, but I wasn't expecting to see it here!

RE: Detect update scene
Hey Jimny be careful with what you are doing as you are conspiring to take out one of the most useful features of your plugin.
The fact is that in your plugin, one of my favorite "features" is that when changing layer visibility, the scene is auto updated. I simply love that!!! The way Sketchup layer manager works is tedious for me as I only use layers for scene management. I suppose there are people that use it in the way you are trying to achieve, but if you could consider my opinion please, please, make that optional.
Thanks and best regards,

RE: [Plugin] Layers Panel 1.2.1
Jiminy great plugin and great news on Thea!
Is it possible that my layer groups have been wiped out after a purge?

RE: [Plugin] Multiple Component Edit Warning
Ashscott,
I thought you were co-developing the plugin. It's very generous of you to pay for development and then sharing it with all of us. Most of the people here share they're own work and passion and accept donations if people willingly give them. To pay for sharing is something admirable. Specialy now, that many of us struggle with difficult financial questions.

RE: Best way to approach project?
Hi PP,
How much accuracy do you need?
Haven't you got any floor plans, sections or elevations to work from?
Only with heavily decorated interiors would it be simpler to use photomatch to model.
Without photos it's hard to tell but don't start with the ground, start with 90degrees geometry.

RE: [Plugin] Xref Manager
TIG,
Would it be easy for you to add a function for one to be able to save over xrefed files through your manager! One could update the externa files in bulk, instead of doing that one by one using context menu's save as. If you would would want to be safe it could warn, or write a backup of the overwritten file of course, as it would be a dangerous operation...
Thanks and best regards,
