If you want higher quality than this, you're probably going to have to pay for it, in which case, you can try Turbosquid or FormFonts.

My name's Jon and I have over 800 Kerkythea files and over 1000 sketchup files. 😞
Also, I never name groups or components and I never use layers, styles, or scenes. πŸ˜’

    • [Req] Preserving UV information

I'm not sure how hard this would be to do, but it would be great if models upon import into sketchup would preserve their UV information, so a texture can be applied properly with one click.

Here are some pics to explain better:

The model gets properly UV mapped in another program, then exported:

      http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u173/Jon_Westwood/g3.jpg

The texture is painted according to the position of the polygons on the map:

      http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u173/Jon_Westwood/g4.jpg

When the texture is imported into Sketchup, it preserves it's UV coordinates allowing for proper painting of the texture:

      http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u173/Jon_Westwood/g1.jpg

As oppose to Sketchup automatically resetting the UV information to be cubic:

      http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u173/Jon_Westwood/g2.jpg

Of course, because cubic textures are so important in Sketchup (for walls, buildings, ect) it would be great if this could be an option to be turned off or on before applying.
Like I said, I have no idea how hard this would be to do, so I might be way over my head with this wish. πŸ˜’

      No.
      Plan ahead. πŸ˜†

But the merge function might help you...
You can export a second chair model with proper materials from SU and merge it into KT (File > Merge). You can do the same with lights, cameras, whatever you like.
Try making a search for more info. πŸ˜‰

      Thanks for the link, Remus.
It's true so few people were hurt. My sister is staying with a friend right now whose door got blown open from the shockwave. 😲

      @unknownuser said:

A series of massive explosions at a propane distribution plant in the Wilson Ave. and Keele St. area early today led to the shutdown of a chunk of the city’s northwest corner and the evacuation of thousands of residents, many of them elderly.

Firefighters reported that there were only a handful of people with minor injuries and one unaccounted for.

The neighbourhood β€œgot off very lucky,” said Division Commander Bob O’Hallarn. β€œThe situation has improved. It’s going in the right direction. It’s still a risk but not as much of a risk as it was before.”

Officials said it was possible residents would be allowed to return to their homes later today.
