      Is 4D virtual builder still supported? The website shows last update 2014. I reached out with no return email

    • RE: SU 2016 Generate Report

      with regards to reporting components, etc., you might find Estimator for SketchUp useful http://estimatorforsketchup.com
      I needed a reporting solution and estimating system for my SketchUp models (as a home builder) so I created one to fill that void. We are offering premium members a 20% discount if interested (just started advertising on this site and will have the discount code posted soon) - not wanting to sound like a salesman, just offering a potential solution to check out, I know I was frustrated with the internal reporting capabilities natively in SU. My email address is john@estimatorforsketchup if you have any questions or need the promo code.

    • RE: Estimator for SketchUp

      Not so much a competitor to PlusSpec, because PlusSpec is a complete parametric modeler and estimates items created with it. However, Estimator allows users to assign costs to anything they model, as well as sort via their own cost codes (PlusSpec I believe has their own coding system you have to use, but not sure) in a branded report. I created and own Estimator for SketchUp (and Devin did a great job bringing it to life:) It is simple but powerful tool. We just launched it and hope to have Devin adding new features to reflect users needs.

    • RE: [Solved]Help with RTF Imports

      I am having the same problem inserting rtf files - they look fine in Wordpad but are scrambled in Layout - I tried all the tricks mentioned above in this thread to no avail - I also tried your suggestion to "drag and drop" the rtf file into Layout but it does not work for me. When I double click on the table, it straightens up but then goes back to scrambled?? Any suggestions or work arounds? again, I tried all above and confused!! Thanks

      @TIG

      I tried to send you a private message but it says I do not have authority to do so - I have been a member for a while, but not premium yet (does that matter). This is the error I received - think it has something to do with file locations but not sure. The proper .rb file and folders are in my Plugins folder??:

      Error: #<Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory - C:/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
      (eval)💯in readlines' (eval):100:in read_counter'
      (eval):137:in new' C:/Program Files (x86)/SketchUp/SketchUp 2013/Plugins/TIG-CutNfill/TIG-CutNfill_loader.rb:25 (eval):100:in call'
      (eval):100

      I would be glad to send you the file to check it or perhaps these lines above explain it all - probably very obvious, just not to me:) I'd appreciate your help and more than happy to upgrade to premium membership if it allows me to participate more.

    • RE: [Plugin][EVAL] TIG-CutNfill

      This is the plugin I have been waiting for! I am a designer/builder and use cut/fill analysis on all my jobs (I have been creating complex terrain groups, painstakingly making them SOLIDs and noting the differences in volume). I downloaded the plugin and cannot seem to make it work. I used an existing file, named the existing site EXTG, chose both groups (which perfectly align) and chose the command, but nothing happens - no error messages, nothing. I even recreated the existing site mesh without the skirt (that I added to previous) and chose the "Add Skirt" command, but nothing happened. Could it have not installed properly? (the menu shows up when I open SU and the folders/files are in my SU Plugins folder. Thanks! Anxious to make this work
