Your right Dave, everything did get exploded, but how is my question? I was careful to always draw the components on Layer 0 and all was well until I ran cleanup. I guess I won't be using that again. I was able to open the backup of the model but it was the same way. Thanks.

Per attached model, I seem to have lost all my individual components I had each piece as a individual component and now I don't. I ran cleanup, saved my model before, and this is my result. I reverted to my previously saved model, before cleanup, and it made no difference. Now it seems I just have a bunch of geometry with no components. What did I do and is there a fix other than redrawing everything and starting over? P.S., I used Thomthom's cleanup.

I am using 2015 pro and windows 7. I have created a component in one drawing and want to use that component in another drawing. Can I do that?

I have found the shortcut key reference card but when I print it out, it is not legible. Is there a way to print the list some other way? Or even to print the list that shows up under preferences? Thank you.

I am new to LO and am having an issue. I just updated to SU2015 Pro. I have created the model, scenes, send to layout etc and have had no issues until I went back to SU, made some design changes. I then saved the file, went back to layout, updated the model reference and when I went to add the new dimensions, it would not let me do it. I had just erased the previous dimensions that were affected by the model changes. I can not enter dimensions or add a leader. I can add text. i have tried sending to back, send to front, etc., to no avail. Any thoughts?

I am trying to create an offset from the foundation walls as shown in order to create the footings. When I try to either trace around the guidelines, I get the message as shown. In regard to this, earlier today, I executed the "clean up" plugin and it did a hell of job, cleaned out my whole model!!! It would be nice if there was some warning or something to let you know what it is cleaning. I used it yesterday and had no issues, so I am sure it was my error, which I can deal with, It would just be nice to know what I did. I am using the plugin "buildedge plan" to draw my walls. I have also turned hidden geometry on and off and it does not show any, after running cleanup, but still will not let me trace over what is there. Thanks,

No, I do not use podium. This is probably one of those things that "computers" just do.

I went to open a model in sketchup today and when it opened, it opened the same model that I have been working on with the exception that is was not current. It had reverted to the model last worked on to the 25th. I have worked on it at some point everyday tidying up details. I have checked to make sure that auto save is on and set for every 5 minutes. In the model I opened today, there is no evidence of any auto saved model. This is a fairly simple model and can be recreated in a relative short period of time, but I would like to know what caused this

Dave, I know what you are talking about by clicking on the face and using the texture rotate. I open the component for editing, click on the face I want to rotate, click the right arrow key. The menu that comes up, does not have "texture" on it. It only has "make unique texture". If I click on that, then it brings up a window that has the "texture" option and can be rotated. I did the top with no problem, but the legs seem to be different. The context menu is different for both components.

I am wanting to re position the material applied to the table below on the legs. This is a component. What I am doing is to open the component for editing, selecting the face, making a unique texture, then right click and open texture, select position and rotate 90 degrees. What I get is a bunch of stripes. I used this same procedure on the table top, also a component, and it worked fine. What am I doing different from the top to the legs? Is it because the curved side of the legs?

Sorry. I am using Windows 7 and sketch up 2014. I just noticed on the plugin compatibility, that it says sketch up 2013. So maybe it won't work with 2014.

When I try to draw an ellipse from the "draw" menu, sketch up crashes. I have tried this many many times. On a couple of occasions, it worked correctly and drew the ellipse. I have tried doing it from guide lines, a rectangle, an offset rectangle and just plain lines. I'm open for suggestions.

Most dogs, including mine, do not have the slightest idea that they are any different from us. Looks like it passes the test!! That was my plan also was to make a side table. Oh well, nice job on the design though. Tell your brother good job on the construction too. Now wonder it looks so good...

Yes Dave, it should. It was in fine woodworking a few months back. The top is a component and then I edited it to paint the face. Your rendering looks awesome. I'm guessing that is not a free program..

I have just started using Maxwell render for Sketch up 2014 and am wondering why I am getting transparency on the top? I have set the opacity to 100% on the material.

Thanks for you help, but I have hit a dead end. I have done all the suggested things, talked with Microsoft, the only company I could actually talk to, left messages at trimble, of which none on them have been replied to, uninstalled and re installed and do not know what else to try. Microsoft said that it must be a sketch up problem since IE works fine on its own. Hopefully, I will eventually hear something back from sketch up.

OK, I have updated internet explorer and cleared the cache.. No go. I still get the same message..
