Hi Macs:

Request to add drawing an equal-sided cube (or maybe elongated one also?) from the center of the first mouse-click. If there was a way to alternate to starting from a corner that would be cool, but not essential.

And, since SU's rectangle tool doesn't have an option to create a rectangle from its center, this cube tool could also be used to do this by simply not moving the mouse along a third-axis for the 3rd mouse-click (or by double-clicking on the 2nd mouse-click).

And even with the method shown above with a "simple" model, it is still a chore hiding the extraneous edges. And then of course, 15 minutes after you finish, someone wants to change the geometry.

I don't think SU's Section Plane tool can do the following without grouping and duplicating groups.

Is there a way to create non-destructive quarter or multi-plane sections with Ruby?

Perhaps manually drawn planes, which represent the desired section and then somehow have them converted into a continuous "section plane" where their normal defines what is hidden?

It does nothing for me. I input a door height of 6', click OK, and that is it. The script ends.. The same thing happens whether the walls are preselected or not.

It seems there may be an issue with the Uninstall method via the WindowsXP AddRemove utility.

After I did the uninstall I reopened SketchUp.

Then I got a load error related to Didier Bur's ADO script regarding "...WinAmp.." Once I unpacked Win32API.SOfrom Didier's ADO.zip, the loading error disappeared.

The bevel to the top surface (red) should be "concave" shouldn't it?

Interesting results by subdividing the top surface of the cylinder first before apply FFD. I was surprised that a convcave cone was not formed; however, the "symetrical wavey pattern" is nice. I'm not sure why the one surface/facet of the cyliner got flipped.

********* One minor enhancement might be to the name the FFD point group automatically, for instance "FFD Point Group". This could help in selecting the FFD group via the Outliner.

The LSVG utility (fractal generator) type approach looks interesting. The author has already modified his spiral generator to produce DXF output for SU users.

It would nice if there was a way for Ruby to create these patterns and to do so using a similar interface.

Question: Is it possible to have the Input Box "remember" its last position? Sometimes the input boxes can coverup the area you are working on and I want to move them out of the way.
