It just seems to be something of a mixed message.

I agree with Csaba. By posting your models on the 3D Warehouse you have given basically given up the right to complain about who does what with them.
Submitting an ''exact duplicate of another model" is however still listed as a policy violation.

RE: Water Bottle
Thanks for that Roger - I had completely overlooked the possibility of using a little DOF.

so that is six months and he has been reported on every model in his collection.
In which case I don't understand the inconsistency (removing some models, but leaving others).

Maybe i am jumping the gun, but after four days i expect prompt action or some form of comunication from an organisation like Google.
It might be a staffing issue associated with the sale of SU i.e. Google could have pulled their staff from the warehouse and Trimble have yet to allocate replacements. I'm only guessing as I'm not sure what the arrangement is between Google and Trimble as far ass the warehouse is concerned.

I thought the general rule was never put anything online that you don't want stolen

Generally that's the way I look at it. Since there are so many duplicate models in the warehouse I only complained to Google to see if the complaints system actually worked.

This has been reported to Google 3d warehouse and no action has been taken. So it seems that google do not take piracey seriously.
The same thing happened to me a while back, but the duplicate model was removed a few days after I reported the problem. How long ago did you file your complaint?

RE: Water Bottle
Frederik's diagram on that thread is pretty good and Notareal provides some useful variations, but I thought all the options might be a bit confusing.

RE: Selling models...how? Where?
Well that's what the Warehouse is for.
In the context of this thread you appeared to be saying that you were selling models found in the Warehouse.

I take models for free from SU warehouse. Then use TGI3d upsample plugin to make them ultra high quality models. Im a Cheapo

Setting aside the fact that it would be easier to create the models yourself (factoring in the corrections you would usually need to make) don't you think that's a form of theft?

RE: Selling models...how? Where?
Good question - I've been wondering about this for a while as well.

RE: Keyboard - 58 User-reprogrammable keys for SketchUP
Taking a second look I've already got memorable shortcuts for many of the featured functions and most of the rest are no quicker to select with a keypad than a mouse. To be any use I'd need a whole new set of commands for frequently used plug-ins.

RE: Keyboard - 58 User-reprogrammable keys for SketchUP
Looks like there already is something for the ipad using Keypad+:

I would miss the tactile feeling of pressing keys.
A programmable touch screen with haptic feedback would be an ideal interface.

RE: Keyboard - 58 User-reprogrammable keys for SketchUP
If the UK price wasn't identical to the price in dollars, I would say that it was reasonably well priced and something I might consider buying in the future.
Whilst not exactly cheap (who would pay only Β£6 for a keyboard?) it's certainly more affordable than the $1,500 Optimus Maximus - which features mini oled screens in place of keys.
Thinking about it, wouldn't an ipad app be a much better way of doing this?

RE: My Man MCA's Got a Beard Like a Billy Goat
Thanks Richard

I still haven't' managed to sort out the lilies model yet - too many distractions - but I'll get there eventually

RE: Photoshop CS6 and Sketchup 8 CONFLICT
I've been using CS6 Creative Suite for a couple of weeks (win 7) and haven't run into any issues. PS opens up whilst running SU8 and PS will launch when editing textured via SU.
Can't think what the problem might be either.

RE: My Man MCA's Got a Beard Like a Billy Goat
Thanks Brooke.
There is a bit of a curve in the stem, but it's obviously too subtle. If anyone is interested I've actually got a vase of lilies, but I need to sort out some UV issues before sharing the model.

Thanks Rich!
For me 'Paul's Boutique' is the album that had the biggest impact - it really changed the game and paved the way for 90s golden era hip-hop. I was going to use the cover for this scene, but it just didn't stand out well enough.
