Ma congifg. actuelle ne me permettant pas de travailler sur des projets dépassant les 100 mo, je vais me procurer une toute nouvelle config. En effet, lorsque je fais tourner mon modèle, les composant disparaissent et réapparaissent, mon pc chauffe, et pour copier/coller ça met du temps, bref, je dois absolument updater mon PC.

Au sujet de la carte graphique:
quelle marque serait la mieux adaptée à ma nouvelle config.?
On me conseil vivement une entrée de gamme professionnelle pour le DAO chez Nvdia:

Actuellement je possède une ATI FireGL:

On me dit toujours que les cartes dédiées au gaming sont moins performantes pour sketchup que les professionnelles dédiées au DAO (Quadro chez Nvidia ou fireGL chez ATI). Qu'en pensez-vous?

p.s. pensez-vous que, histoire de tester et d'économiser provisoirement de l'argent, si je met ma FireGL actuelle dans ma nouvelle config. à venir, j'aurais quand-même de meilleurs résultats?

I have kept the Nvidia so if I want I can switch it
but what is strange is that my ATI is supposed to be a 3d card
and my Nvidia is only for gamers
but as you said, skp is a bit slower, for the moment it's ok, but when I will have more component I will see how much slow it will be.

I never do that, it never resolved any issue until today since the beginning of my life lol
the issue comes from another part of the problem I sure, some setting to change, smt like that

p.s. I have Supply from Piriform, so if you need more infos tell me, btw all my drivers are dl from official websites.

Before, when I used skp 8.0 and olders I had an Nvidia Zotac GTS450 1BG 128BIT DDR5 and skp worked well on that computer. But since that card was more for games I decided to put this actual ATI which is specific for 3D CG. The seller told me that I should have better results.

Concerning my work, I just made a small components and that's all my work on it and every time I am trying to touch one of those component it crashes.
Same thing if I bring a component from an work did with an older ver. of skp

I red something concerning the advantage of a separate memory drive when using programms like photoshop. Is it the same for skp ?
I plan to add a 60go ssd only for virtual memory when skp works, for not surcharge
but I dont understand very well this subject, can you help me, give me more infos about it utility pls ?

Components onto Faces seems to be the best for what I would like to do.
for be more explicite, my sphere should looks like the moon, with all its craters
perhaps is there an easier way to do..?
