Need help with this interactive spot which has a Enscape spot beam built in.
I managed to make the rotation but would also like to tilt it by clicking on the spots adjusting screw on the sides. Can anybody show me how it can be done?

Thank you Philip for saving me once more.
I try to reason how this works but it doesn´t come easy to me. I have to work with it.
Thank you and may you and your family have a happy new year

could you upload a 2017 version? not intending to update this time.
generally each rotation needs to separate with its own nesting (world axis), however the example on https://forums.sketchup.com/t/rotating-more-than-one-axis-with-a-dc/54350 may work, but best to work your example
Thank you pcmoor. Christmas came between
Find attached the 2017 version
Thank you for helping and Merry Christmas in post
Well, I didn´t quite get this. Here I have the same problem. This is a foldout bed where the foot should fold out at the same time and movement as the bed swings out. Can anybody help me out

Not sure why that was occurring as there were not any objects inside the groups "way off" which is usually the culprit.
I exploded and regrouped each and the problem seems have to gone away.
Thank you! i was in a hurry with this project.
I have a grouped model that has an issue with clippingplane only when trying to rotate the opened group. Can anybody help me fix this?

all onclick functions should on the same level of nesting otherwise the top will work in preference to the lower as its triggered first and shields the rest.
Combine two or more actions using semicolon between onclick functions, or use a common variablecheers

had to fix the height reference to stop the overall shrinking to change in the bounding box as toe is withdrawn
change group to component as can not reference a group back to the parentthe base is the trigger for the slide
Wow! Philip, thanks. Learnt something from this. Have to "chew" on it for some time to understand what you did though. What does size (LenZ) have to do with it?
Never quite understood how to setup the mother/child connection into a DC. Here is a model which has several DC components inside a group. What I am trying is to have separate control by clicking on the different parts. That is; I want the whole section to retract when clicking, -but at the same time the "Bottom Support to fold in. The plexi Covers are separate and opens/closes only when clicked on. Can anybody help me understand how to set it up. Attached is the model.

Really incredible what can be done with this tool.
I miss some links to architectural projects though, -partially or completely done with SU. Nick Sonder is one good example. What about bigger projects, - anyone?
Thank you for links Liam. Do you know if everything modelled in SU?
Wow Cotty! You really are productive!! And you work as electical engineer?
Most of you have probably seen this new video from the SketchUp team.
I am an interior architect and designer and also train SketchUp for living. Many of those I train are architects. To attract people start using SketchUp i struggle to convince them how useful SketchUp can be doing serious work in projects. Many have the impression that SketchUp is just a toy and in best case useable for drawing simple cubes representing buildings in a survey project. I have for long time been thinking of putting up a page showing what amazing things can be done in SU on my website. For that I would appreciate all info regarding beautyful projects done in SU.
D*** you are good!
Thank you pcmoore. Works great! I will study this.
I found this nice DC elevator model by Elmar.R on the warehouse
Doors are dynamic but does not work correctly. Trying to figure out to make them close/open in one click. Does anybody know how to fix them?

I have a glass office wall with inserted dynamic doors.
Is it possible to have a dynamic scalable glasswall which repeats with glass and dynamic doors inserted? My idea is to scale the glasswall along X direction inside hole in outer wall to fit without stretching the components but customized to end with glass.

Here is the model with dynamic doors
I know some kind of pattern must be used but I am very curious if it is possible.
Modelling small parts
I´ve had som problems with curves when modelling small parts. Rounded edges/corners will not close. I found a workaround that works: Scale the model two times or more, do the rounding with double radius, -then scale down 0,5 to normal size.

Thank you pcmoor for answering. Trying to replicate what you did excactly. Still dont get it.
I opened the "SpinPort" component and made a new component inside having same axis. It still turns horizontal when spinning..?
I modelled this gate with 3 spinning rods. I got the rods spinning but cannot find out how to keep it in the right position spinning. I know there is some place I have to change the axes direction but cannot find out where I go wrong.
Can anybody please help me?

I miss the old Layer Manager which now has moved to the default tray. To turn on/off layers or change between layers you now have to scroll down to find the right tray. I wish there was a way to extract the menues to have them separate available on screen, -when you close the menu it would be back in the default tray. Did I miss something or is the separate menu still there somewhere?
When I try moving geometry or text in LayOut it moves in a jumpy behavor snapping to invisible points. Is there a way to move freely without the snapping?
Another problem I have is when resizing an imported view. Usually when I reduce the view from one side it moves the geometry with it when what I want is to clip the frame. Is there a way to pan inside the view to center the geometry?
This dynamic open/close door is to be used with 100mm thick walls. I am trying to make the door glue to the wall at the same time cutting hole. The doorframe should stick out 11mm on each side of the wallthickness.
Anybody want to have a go on it?
