    • RE: New 3d Warehouse interface

I have posted 2 new models to the new Trimble warehouse... one three months ago and another 1 month ago. Both of them are still awaiting the Trimble auto-rendering robot to do the task
of giving my models an image! We used to upload our own images and they appeared right away
but no longer. Now we await an automated process to do it for us that clearly does not work!!

I wish somebody has an answer to this annoying issue on the new 3d warehouse. I can find no way to have an image show up for my new models' upload. Here is the url for the new model...

    • Upoad of new model - no image - how?

**[3dwh]I have 40 models uploaded to the 'old' 3D Warehouse with
no problems encountered. Today I uploaded my next new model to the
new (Trimble) warehouse. All was ok except i was not presented with
any option (that I saw) to upload my image of the model. Is there
someone who could explain how model picture uploading is
      accomplished in this new warehouse.

I was presented with a dialog stating 'they' were generating
an image (really?) but nothing ever happened.

If the procedure is documented somewhere a steer would be
      helpfull.

    • First use of SU8 on Win8

I just recently change from Win 7 to Win 8. Everything was fine until I exported
my 3D model kmz file. It was correctly geo-located and when opened in GE it
when to its correct location and moved into the expected altitrude. Next as
usual I expected to see the 3D model displayed. But no... it just sat there
      with no model displayed.

I reopened several previously created model kmz files and they worked correctly.
So why in Win 8 does my SU8 NOT create a kmz file with my model in it.

Here's a link to the kmz file online.

    • 3D Fire Station models - How To

Seven years ago I produced the first of (now) 35 fully detailed models of former
fire stations. The 35'th model is of my 'home' station. I felt, as a now 66 year old
man (I've been programming since 1974), it might be informative to document my entire process, from blank SketchUp page to the final model installed in the 3D Warehouse.

      http://www.extraalarm.org/Google_Earth/3-D_models/eaatc/modeling_process/modeling_process_ge_intro_01.php

      It contains:

      • The complete development of StPFD Former Station 14 (b)

      • An introduction, and 6 detailed stepped charts

      • Over 1000 detailed photos documenting the process

This 'tutorial' is fully detailed, and includes detailed staircase
design, component usage, and creation of various sized 'hand made' brick arches.

    • Is there a way to 'warp' a rectangle int a trapezoid

I am using SU8 and Win7. I've been a long time user of SU but
never ran into this before. Is there a way to take an already
drawn rectangle and its CONTENTS and stretch or move or somehow
alter this rectangle into a trapeziod (and the contents).
Yes, I can use the move tool and grab edges and move them, but the
contansts remain as they were. Maybe I'm looking an 'axis stretch'
      of a component.
