xline is created to keep from selecting as path and to use for axis setting as a single line only provides the x axis refference to the align ruby

How about a 2 click ruby to align a face
to inclined line in 3d space.
Here is a work-around that might be a basis
for a cleaner solution in code.
Check it out and see if there is an easier way to do it.

Hi All
Here are a pile of plugins for Paint.net
http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=16
Requires Win XP or better for most.

Another request.
How about having the text entry box remain on screen for multiple
text entries or perhaps rt click for repeat entry box.?
dtr
Hi TIG
Great idea and thanks.
A vote here for a larger text entry box and how about a
pointer arrow too!?
dtr
Super and very much needed script but the Gable still is iffy for me and some faces that are created square are refused by the script and will not execute.
Here is a jpg and skp for your review.

Killer idea to use the drape tool for 2d use.
Also saves the 3d model and much faster than [flatten]
Just select and using the [hide all unselected] ruby
export to whatever.
Thx a bunch

Hi Rick
It would be super if you could fix up
pathcopy circa 2005 with GSU 6
to set obj perp to path.
I think this is what everbody is looking 8O for
See attached file.
Dave
Hi TIG
Your extrude along a path is my bread and butter script for plan development.
The core of a copy plan system and tut that I am in process on as we speak.
An align_face script would be appreciated by all I am sure and thanks for the get-back.
Dave
How about a script that will align a face perpendicular to the end point of a line segment that may be off axis in 3d?
This would be a big help when using the follow-me fcn for this condition.
A work around is to set the axis of the end segment and then using Didier's align_tool align/copy the face to the end point.
As his scripts are encrypted is there anyone on the inside that could add this option to this really super script.
Not my expertise at all but the code lock out does eliminate an open solution for the experts here to take a shot at.
Also the align_tool seems to add two options to the context menu ?? for align and align group/component.
True ?? no??
Just a thought for the day.!
Anyone?

There is an open source that will create PDF'and also DXF from same.FREE
A combo of Ghostscript and Ghostview plus
a plug in for the DXF extraction.(German source)
I have not messed with this for a while, but
while the interface is a little klugy it does work.
(note that one must add the extension to the [save as] option. This is not automatic.
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/
http://www.ghostscript.com/
You will have to dig out the DXF but a simple search should get it.

Hi Rick
You have shed the "good light" on the issue and thanks for getting back.
With all the killer ruby toys that we have scooped up, this still seems to be an important gota-have addition and I hope it works well for your profit center too.
Here come the "tree people" so look out!!

Hi Rick
Once again with more clarity I hope.
Here is the deal that seems to work for other graphic data.
You buy so many credits at a set price for each (say $2 per credit)your option for how many.
Just like script at the Church Bingo Fest.
A set number of credits are required for each graphic downloaded and charged against your account.(credit card)
So that you do not get logged down with 1sies 2sies perhaps you could set a min purchase credit of say $10-$20.(or min number of conversions)
A BIG package deal at a discount is always a good pump primer.
Like many other downloads a time limit for downloading would be part of the deal.
Just some ideas that I hope will help get you off and going ASAP.
Whatever you decide will be OK here.
Dave
Hi Rick
My wife is a graphic designer and gets lots of images from web sources.
The keeper was one that first sells script of $ value which is then applied to the selected item(s).
If I understand your system the script could apply to processing an image, but not limit the repeated use once processed and downloaded.
You might consider time framing the download to help keep order and cash flow more determinate
Good grief, I'm rambling on, but just some trash ideas for you to check out.
My best
Dave
Hi Rick
A pump primer is always good business, but
IMo a good tree and one scantily clothed lady should suffice. EH!
This is a money in the bank time saver for SU without a doubt.
Dave
Hi Rick
Golf bag works as advertised.
Looks super.
A suggestion for distribution is to offer
minimum package of say $10-20.
Less cost on paypal and better cash flow to you.
Just a thought.
