Yes - it is more manufacturable and technological! And the time - people wants everything now! But we are still waiting to see 250 years old MDF cabinet!
Here is a Bulgarian house from 19 century

RE: Just finished (new)
I use this projects as way to master SketchUp and learn woodworking. In my country the MDF and melamine are all over the place - it is getting boring. And the old masters are fading away

RE: Just finished (new)
I gonna check it out. I started a new project - this time in inches

RE: Just finished (new)
I see - thanks. I think we are talking about different plugins - the one that I used creates the whole drawer at once.

RE: [Plugin] Extrude Edges by Faces
So stupid - it was the original melding face!!!
Great tool!! -
RE: Just finished (new)
One more - I made the drawer with the Dovetails Drawer plugin and maybe we should call the author for this "half pin" adjustment.

RE: Just finished (new)
Thanks - very helpful for a newbie like me!! Is this what You mean for the drawer?

I'm a virtual woodworker! Here is the model - the units are in metrics. Please, check it for construction and joinery flaws. For the handles I agree - just used what was available.

RE: Bonzai 2.0 released
Thanks for the help, but I removed the program - just short of time to play more. To be honest You are very helpful and responsive.

RE: Bonzai 2.0 released
I'm not so excited - just a normal nurbs modeler with somewhat easier interface. I like an open system like SketchUP with a lot of user base and huge amount of info all over the net. Been working with Rhino, SolidWorks and other the toolbox is not a surprise for me. Anybody tried a huge project in Bonzai - with a lot of objects, long layer listing and etc.? The system gets very slow - try hiding some layers. The SketchUp+ Moi combo is better in my opinion. Thanks to Fredo's scale SketchUP is the easiest "parametric" cabinet software!

RE: SU crashes when starting VRAY 1.48.66 render
@martinph said:
This afternoon I purchased and installed the new VRAY after having used the demo of the old version to great satisfaction, and without any problems. I have attempted to make several renders, using simple default settings. However, each and every time SU shuts down completely a few minutes after the start of the render process, and I get a bugsplat message.
Have I just wasted $800...!!??
I noticed that after installing the new VRAY a number of pop-ups flash by very quickly when SU starts (way too fast to read them, you can just see the outline of the window before it disappears again).
Are there known issues with this new edition of VRAY, or am I just having bas luck? I do hope there is a way to solve this!
(P4, dual core, 2.133 Ghz, 4 GB ram, Nvidia Geforce LE videocard)
I also had this experience with the new demo version. Su started slow and the GUI of the V-Ray responded very slow and caused SU's freezing! I uninstalled it completely to get my SU back in shape! Nice render, but the GUI is very crowded and too uncomfortable.

RE: Rendering Contest - Great Prizes - IRender nXt
@al hart said:
Hmmm? I just downloaded it the IRender nXt install and it worked OK.
The one I downloaded had this name and size:
84,479,002 IRender_3_JB11nxt.zip
However, we changed the download file about 7:30 AM Mountain time, so this gets confusing.
Also, sometimes IE refuses to download something a second time unless you delete the first download.
So try again if you will.
I have got this one - IRender_3_JB02nxt.zip
