No,No! The problem is Autodesk's monopolistic policy trying to force people to use only their products and file formats!

    • RE: [Plugin] jf_get_dimensions.rb

Sorry, I didn't check it by myself - there were no SketchUP installed. This version works by a shortcut - You assign a shortcut to this plugin and when select group or component press the shortcut - You see the dimensions in the status bar - as soon as You move the mouse they are gone. Pretty useful actually.

    • RE: Applique

So, Your intend is to actually build this models using a CNC? Again, SketchUP is not the right toll for this - look at Rhino 3d. It has 2d, 3D, nesting plugin, Cam plugin, T-spline for mesh modeling and it has real curves and geometry. You can grow with this software as much as You wish. It imports and exports a huge amount of file formats, reads and writes SketchUP files.

I see it makes iso/axo views... I was also thinking about how I might incorporate that in CADup...

Maybe based on the component/group axes or world axes - as two options. Because You can't be sure what are the front/back/right and etc. for a given component.

      a bit.
      Cheers Dodge 😎

You can change the origins for multiple components and groups with Thom's Axes Tools - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=30508
