    Hey guys,
I am currently working on a Crysis Map with Sketchup and the Playuptools... Now since i want to keep it simple I have made one group
for each block, they are really simple models and I want to keep them that way. But Since playuptools only exports one group with its own
group-origin and not the complete model origin im running into some problems.

So how do I set the origin for a group, and: Is there a way to do it to multiple groups at the same time?

You can set the origin for components, but not groups. So I think you would first need to convert all groups to components. There is a plugin for that.

Then where do you want to set the origin? Do you want to set each one's origin to be at the model origin of 0,0,0 so that when they import, they can all be placed at 0,0,0 and align themselves correctly? Is that wqhat you are after, or something different? A simple plugin could be made to help you with this once we determine what we need.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Yup exactly as you stated, I want all origins to be where the main origin is (0,0,0) I suppose.
Would be really nice if somebody could write a quick script, but if its necessary I can also do it by hand.

Chris, in SU 8, you can set the origin for a group: edit the group and place the origin elsewhere- it will "update" the group origin just like for components.

This is not a multiple group task though.

You can change the origins for multiple components and groups with Thom's Axes Tools - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=30508

I was also going to suggest that plugin but it (only) says it is for components. Does it also work with groups?
