Super Cool!! Love the car, and masterfully modelled.

RE: Upholstered furnitureLove your furniture. Both the models and renders are always first-rate.

RE: SketchUp 2020 always thinks there is a newer recovered file.My experience has been that this happens when you have some type of abnormal SU exit: a bugsplat or freeze. There seems to be some code that executes on normal exit that does the proper comparison and if it doesn't complete, then it thinks the recovered file is newer than the actual current one β and will (incorrectly) prompt you every time you open that file until you trash the recovered file from the location described above. This is clearly a bug that has been brought up over on the official SU forum, and it's not limited to SU 2020. I first experienced it with SU 2019. Hopefully the bug is logged and it will be fixed eventually β it becomes especially confusing when you have a couple of crashes in a row to determine which is the file you should be opening vs. trashing.

RE: [Plugin] Universal Importer - v1.2.6 - 30 July 2024Thanks for the great work on this extension Samuel. It's so useful, and I appreciate the rapid iteration / evolution to address user feedback. Fantastic job!

RE: Model steam engineCool animation and a very nostalgia-inducing model! I spent many childhood hours constructing various Meccano models, so your SU steam engine invokes a lot of pleasant memories. Well done! Oh, and Happy New Year!

RE: Cavour tableVery cool desk design and a great model/render to match. Nicely done!

RE: Not a Bug! Middle Mouse Button Orbit Prob SolvedHi David β If you can't seem to solve the issue in the Control Panel 'Mouse' settings, have you tried installing Logi Options? It allows you to remap any of the mouse buttons to a variety of functions. I'm on a Mac, but I assume it looks and works the same on Windows:

RE: [Plugin] Centering pluginI should note that CLF Center on Origin is missing a 'Center over Origin' option (unfortunately) and only works on Groups / Components β not raw geometry.

RE: [Plugin] Centering pluginThere is also Chris Fullmer's 'Center on Origin' plugin available at the Extension Warehouse: SketchUp Extension WarehouseYour library of custom third-party extensions created to optimize your SketchUp workflow. (extensions.sketchup.com)

RE: 3D Warehouse Country?@dave r said: I would like to see a filter to eliminate the models/components that are poorly made and need work to be usable. This.

RE: Flax WheelBeautifully detailed model and a very convincing render. Nice job!

RE: Swedish Pine Extension TableNice, Dave. A very functional and practical design with an appropriately rustic sensibility.

RE: SketchUp 2019 releaseDidn't receive that email, no. But did just receive my notice for renewing my annual Maintenance & Support license. I hesitated, since I never use Trimble Support and there has been little of value in recent upgrades (while long-identified bugs, missing features and UI annoyances remain unaddressed). In the end I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt for one more year and I renewed. Apple's latest MacBook release yesterday shows that they've finally started listening to their pro users again (and designing product features to meet their workflow needs), so it's not impossible that Trimble will turn the same corner sometime soon β one can hope

RE: AI & RenderingOK, just went to your main site and saw that it's US$ 15 / month subscription. Makes it a no deal for me. Would be interested if a perpetual license option was also on offer.
