    Hello All,

I would like to gather the opinion of the community about FluidRay renderer.

Before you dismiss it as "Oh great, yet another renderer", please bear with me for just a few more seconds. One of the biggest problems related to rendering is the long waiting times in the presence of complex global illumination, when the noise seems never to go away. In FluidRay we put together the latest developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and we believe the results are simply amazing.

The images you see below were noise-free just after a few seconds. You can render SketchUp scenes out of the box, by directly importing .skp files. All the materials and settings present in the SketchUp files are retained, and a few enhancement are automatically added during the import process (such as bump mapping).

You can try the free demo here.

Please let me know your opinions, any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Just watched the videos on your site and the rendering speed and simplicity looks impressive. Looking forward to trying out the demo.

Questions: Why is there no pricing info shown on your site? How much? Will it be subscription or perpetual license?

OK, just went to your main site and saw that it's US$ 15 / month subscription. Makes it a no deal for me. Would be interested if a perpetual license option was also on offer.

After looking at the videos I can't say I'm that impressed.
It may be noise free within seconds, but the image is so blurred you really can't tell what it looks like until after a while. I'd rather see what I'm looking at with some noise than have to guess at a blurred image.
I'm also not interested in renting a renderer.

What resolution and render time are the posted images?

            Some great results, cool.

For me the biggest issue looks like it's not fully integrated like Thea, Vray or Enscape, I may be wrong as I have not downloaded the trial. I just cannot work in 3rd party mode, I need my changes in SU to be instantly updated in render app as smoothly as possible.

The software for rent thing is still not a happy thing for me either.

@pixero in the image below you see how it looks like after 10s on a 6 core at 1280x720

It's true it's blurry, but it gives you a very good idea of what the lighting is going to look like and quickly make adjustments.

The final render took 1 hour on a 6 core at 1920x1280. (If you click on the images you see the full resolution version)

So this means you integrated Intel Open Image Denoise, or is this something else?

We use neural nets for path sampling and denoising. For denoising we use OIDN.

I see no point in renting software either. Not my thing.

                          POOL PARTY FUN.jpgGood grief
One hour for final render is not fast and how many tries does one need to do to get it right???
I use Artlantis 4(obsolete version too)for not quite photo real work but gets it done in 10-20 minutes max.
Not direct in SU but manages hi poly files quickly and in real time.
More than OK for decent presentation and project approvals.
Artlantis was worth the time to learn for quick renders.
After all the built project is really the goal.
Never a subscription app for me in any case. 👎 👎 👎
