Idle hands while watching a program about the construction of Guedelon Castle in France.

No. On the original it appears that the leaves were just set in place. I would probably add some small cleats to the bottoms of the leaves to keep them in place on the sliding supports.

          Is it a: swedish-pine table
          or a: swedish pine-table?

I think the leg part looks foreign.
Not something I have seen in Sweden.

This type is more common for a traditional pine table in Sweden.

It's modeled after a pine table with a Swedish passport. I took liberties and replaced the brackets between feet and legs.

Does it come as a flat pack with a few extra useless parts and one crucial part missing?

Yes. And another hex driver that you only use once.

Someone asked about building a trestle table with extension slides and since I had this table open already, it was a simple modification.

Another simple modification provides storage for the leaves when not in use.

Nice, Dave. A very functional and practical design with an appropriately rustic sensibility.
